Great atmosphere and the food is plentiful and delicious. Prices are recently reduced and the menu is updated and eye catching. I highly recommend the Penne Pasta Luna or Giambotta. You won't be disappointed!
Pros: You leave full with leftovers for tomorrow

Last night our two families dined together at at Pasta Luna restraurant in Midlothian; we asked for separate checks. One of us was served an entre for another table, and after tasting it he notified the watress, who then served him his dish; however, he tried it and it was not his but his son's; finally, he was served the correct dish on the third try. Son had to wait until they replaced one item that his father had eaten by mistake. Each familly had a 2 for 1 entre coupon, and the coupon also said " per check"; however, the waitress said it should be per table not check; waitress indicated management said per table to her . We asked for the manager and he finally agreed per check, but gave us a hard time.. Finally we received our checks, and they showed a separate charge for each soft drink; the waitress did not inform us that refils were not free. We will never go back to Pasta Luna; waitress and management not organized and management not friendly nor customer service orientated. The gentlemen who tried three dished should have been given his meal free as well as his son; no such offer came
Pros: Nice Setting
Cons: Poor Service and Poor Management

Last Sat night I took my family to Pasta Luna. We were greated at the door with the owner rudely interupting a conversation between the hostess and a customer. He proceeded to be rude to the customers and after talking to some of the staff, it was apparent that this was the norm. His dictatorship style of running the restaurant was apparent as the only thing as disgusting as his attitude was the pasta we had for dinner. I encourage you to spend your money else where. Its only a matter of time before this restaurant goes under.
Pros: Finally leaving the restaurant
Cons: Unprofessional/assinine/idiot owner

I will never go back to Pasta Luna due to the owners attitude and the horrible service. We made reservations at the West End location and still waited over 90 minutes to be seated. We then waited another 60 minutes before everyone had water and our order was finally taken. A friend talked to the owner and he said we should expect to wait so long for great food. I still to this day cannot beleive his attitude towards customers and it appears severel here have had the same experience. The people at the table next to us were so frustrated they asked for their food to go and then walked out without paying the bill. The food is average at best and overpriced, especially for dinner.

As long time Richmond residents and great fans of Italian cooking, we recommend that our daughter and future son-in-law choose Pasta Luna to have their Rehearsal Dinner for their wedding. What a mistake we made! First, Pasta Luna lost their reservation one month prior to the event after they had scheduled it 9 months in advance. Plus, they changed the menu on us completely the week of the event and we had to re-pick most of what we wanted. Second, we were told that our 40+ guests would enjoy an all-you-can-eat family style dinner, but what we received was our guests going hungry due to the inability of the servers to bring out enough food to meet the need. Plus, what we did get was often cold and poorly prepared. In fact, my daughter and her future-husband struggled to get enough food and the party was for them! Third, we had ordered flowers to be placed on the table the night of the event, but found out latter that after receiving the flowers the day of the event, Pasta Luna choose NOT to put them on the tables. When we asked about them, the owner, Peter, yelled at my wife and told her it was not his problem and that it was not his fault. We are STILL trying to get Pasta Luna to reimburse us for the flower bill of $100. It is sad, my son-in-law paid well over $2500 to Pasta Luna in food, and how did they treat us. Pasta Luna advertises that they have won all of these awards, but I wonder if the people who gave them these awards actually ate at their restaurant. Take our word for it, there are better restaurants in Richmond for you to spend your money at. If you don't, you and your family will regret it!
Pros: There are others restaurants in Richmond!
Cons: Horrible Management and Service!!

This was my third or fourth trip to the southside location of Pasta Luna. I am not impressed. The food is mediocre but pricey for what you get. I ordered Italian lobster tails. The dish came with four thumb sized lobster tails and a HUGE plate of pasta. My dinner included the lobster pasta dish and a soda. The bill totaled over $26.00 with only four small pieces of lobster and a box worth of pasta. The service was fine but I doubt I will return because it's just too expensive for what you get.
Pros: Ambiance, not crowded
Cons: value

Horrible experience for a pre-planned group celebration. Mis-treated by the owner and felt like we'd been taken advantage of. Table wasnt ready as scheduled, plates were chipped, dirty and cracked, silverware had prints and crumbs, dinner plates not brought out with the entrees. "Fixed price" menu was never discussed or priced prior to our group arriving. Our party's host was embarassed. Individual checks not provided, debit cards processed incorrectly. All-around bad experience. Obviously, we won't go back.
Pros: Good food, bookkeeper resolved issues afterwards
Cons: managment/owner

The food is delicious and plentyful, served in a northern italian atmosfere. Great service and food. The bar is also well furnished and affordable. Great place for a family dinner or with a group of friends. Also great for a romantic dinner.
