Meade is a master of self promotion, primarily due to the fact that his product, in this case "music" and "entertainment" can not speak for themselves! Be aware that "musiclover", "green eyed lady", "linx" and "VASinger" who also wrote reviews are all Meade using multiple user names. He in persistent in his quest to gain "name recognition", without the realization that his ego centric self promotion will not help him win fans. If he spent the time and effort on any reasonable and worthwhile pursuit, I would provide him with the appropriate support and encouragement; however, he is focused on the promotion of an, at best, average music product. There are some who have been able to make a name for them selves by being the victim, but meade seems to have made it his life to be a victim. It should come as not shock to anyone who has encountered meade, "in real life", or through his shameless self promotion, that some synonyms of "victim" include: fatality, casualty, sufferer, prey, dupe and butt. (Source - Microsoft Word, Thesaurus:English) Please do not support his misguided, and utterly miserable, "music".

Meade Skelton is probably the most underappreciated talent on the Richmond, Virginia music scene. Why hes not appreciated more is beyond me. But it seems his talent and his songs will take him far. I have seen him many times. My friends own his CDs as well. Saw him play at this tiny coffee shop in Charlottesville and I was blown away. An instant fan. My favorite song of his is "Nicole, Will You Marry Me?".

If you get the chance to see Meade Skelton performing live take it. It's well worth your time. He has originality and a lot of energy in his shows. If you can't see him live get the CDs , it's the next best thing. He has a beautiful voice with rich resonance and he really feels what he's singing. He performs both old favorites and his own original compositions in shows, and on the CD's. His orginal compositions reflect both his life experiences and his sense of humor.

Pros: great voice, entertaining to watch, good family show

Dull, pendantic songs, delivered in an amatuerish style. Singing voice unexceptional. Lyrics typical and uninspiring. Smoking probably affected his voice. Seems uncomfortable mixing with guests.

Meade Skelton is a great singer-songwriter. His songs are funny and sincere all at the same time. He has a really cool vibe and isn't afraid to be himself. I think he's not just another Country singer. He's got his own unique style and a great attitude. I've seen him perform and he has the chops. Most of all, he truly is a great vocalist. Probably Richmond's best kept secret.

Pros: original, funny, good showmanship

Cons: small venues, short shows

There are many unforutnate characters that are going around either posing as Meade Skelton, or giving him purposely harsh and negative reviews out of spite. Meade is blessd with a unique musical presence. His music has soul and personality and he is a true artist. If you want music that is from a true artist, Meade Skelton is one of those rare performers who can create such art.

Pros: Original, Inspirational, Spunky
