I think this place is a wanna-be upscale salon, but they fall short. Other reviews indicate staffing issues, which I agree with. Also, the pictures of the owner on the wall as soon as you walk in make me think she likes to look at herself.

My experience at this salon was horrible! I went there on the advice of a coworker, who recommended "Christopher" and told me he was offering a special: free color glaze with a haircut. I made an appointment with Christopher and arrived at the salon location at a strip mall. I was greeted and told to wait - then sat there for 45 minutes! Christopher finally shows up - looking like he just rolled out of bed - and doesn't even apologize for the wait. Honestly, I would have left at that point had I not felt like I was going to get a great deal. Boy was I wrong. Not only was the color WAY too dark, but I was charged more than double what I expected to pay. I called the owner, who told me she didn't know anything about a "special" and that she was going to take it up with Christopher. Instead of offering any kind of compensation, she simply had Christopher call my cell phone and leave a long, obnoxious voicemail with his side of the story. He claimed the free color glaze was separate from the color he applied to the roots, and that I was charged appropriately. I will NEVER return to this salon!!

Pros: Parking

Cons: Long Wait, Overcharged, Rude Management & Staff

I had a business card for a free hair cut. I made an appointment and when i arrvied i was told they had to reschedule since the stylist needed to eat lunch. So i rescheduled and when we went back i let my daughter use it since i did not feel well. I had went next door and was summons back. When i arrived Alicia Amsler, the owner, took me into another room saying that my child had already been there and if i did not leave she would call the police. I tried to tell her that my second daughter had been there not the one there now and she said "I am warning you don't make a scene". I tried to show her a picutre on all three of my daughters and she said "I have said NO". The man blowed dry my daughters hair and i told my daughter and her boyfriend to just get up and walk out the door. My daughter was nervous not understanding, she has a disability, and asked why since her hair had not been cut yet. I told her were had been told to leave. Alicia's salon offers promotions and does not follow up. Alicia Amsler is very rude to her customers and employees from things i have seen before. I have been there before but i don't recommend this place to anyone for anything!

Pros: there are no pros to this place

Cons: just going there is a con

Okay, Alicia's salon is the place to get the best haircuts. Personally I think Alicia is the best stylist she does a really good job!!Sure Its a little pricey but its worth it if you want a really good haircut. I thought that the people were somewhat proffesional. The people although i have to say were really nice. They were a little slow but i dealt with it. I do reccomend going there. Also one really good thing about this place is that it looks proffesional. i am talking about the Chester and Woodlake location(I've been to both) Pros-Good Service,Haircuts are great,Friendly People. Cons-Pricey, Waiting

Pros: Good Service,Haircuts are great,Friendly People.

Cons: Pricey,Wait

I love Alicia's, and especially my stylist, Krista. If you are looking for somewhere new and want someone who will make your hair look its very best, book with her. You will not be disappointed.

I had been getting my hair highlighted for years. my daughter went to this salon and I thought I would try it. I went in and it took 21/2 hours for the highlight and as they kept me under the dryer and the sylist talking about their love lives and doing each others make up and hair, she left me under the dryer too long and when she took me out MY HAIR WAS PURPLE!! So she stayed and rehighlighted my hair with another stylist helping so they could go out together later. so I then sit in the chair ANOTHER 3 hours..I would have thought with the owner there she would have comped me the visit NOOO I paid Just under $200.00 aftyer being there 6 hours!!!! No disount what so ever... and the attitude that I was keeping them there late...As I have heard from others THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL SALON you will EVER go to...VERY EXPENSIVE to boot...Not worth the money at all !! THIS WAS THE WOODLAKE LOCATION BY THE WAY...Oh and my daughter no longer goes there either...For the reason of to much money for the service...Hair cuttery can do that well

Pros: Parking, location

Cons: unproffesional, exspensive, slow

My experience was just sloppy... I had an appointment. I got there 15 minutes early so I wouldn't hold them up any and was rudely told I'd have to wait. I never asked to be seen early! 30 min's after the scheduled time I was asked to come to the back-pedicure. Then I had to wait for the station to be set-up... It was okay-not worth the money. Second visit (every one deserves a second chance-right?) - worse. 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment I was called back for a hair cut. The "trim" was fine-the stylist was very pleasant and seemed to really care and she was very professional. The receptionists and a few of the other girls were VERY unprofessional. There is a big difference between young ladies and little girls. Of the females there- there was only one young lady and at least 4 little girls. Babble over the boyfriends and just over all acting silly is just unnecessary. It's fine to have fun and talk when you are at work but not to the point where your clients suffer either by wasting their time or not paying attention to detail- and the time it took to get in to my appointment and the time it took to check out was ridiculous! The lay out of the establishment was nice. The prices keep climbing for declining service. If it's really going to cost $40 for a trim... pay for a mature receptionist.

Pros: Parking, Certain stylists

Cons: Set-aside a few hours! Child-like behavior

I scheduled an appointment for a color service when I won a gift certificate for $100. Not only did the process take WAY longer than any other hair color service I have ever had, the results were OK and I ended paying another $100 out of pocket (I only got highlights and lowlights on hair that wasn't even shoulder length). For $200, slow service and an OK color job, I would not recommend the salon. The atmosphere was also a little teenie-bopper for me. Too many belly shirts on 15 yr old employees talking to the stylist as she's doing my hair. For the price, I would've expected a nicer, more relaxing and profesional experience.

Pros: Lots of parking

Cons: Too expensive for the service, not very professional

I found the Woodlake location to be chaotic, overpriced, and not worthy of their prices. I waited for over an hour (giving me water doesn't make up for waiting that long) and then it was 3 hours to "squeeze" me in after having an appointment. My visit was over 4 hours for cut/color. I've been to many salons in the same price range and Alicia's service was far from comparable. They were inconsistent and sloppy. I've never written an online review before, but I felt compelled to because I have limited funds to spend on my hair and thought I would spare someone else the unnecessary expense. They really need to brush up on their organization skills and remember to pay attention to their clients who are paying top dollar for their services. After all the time and money I spent there, my husband said my hair looked the same except shorter.

Pros: Friendly greeting, good parking

Cons: Unorganized, Slow
