What to Expect
At Richmond's IMAX theater, the movie experience takes on a life of its own. The screen here is so large that it practically engulfs the audience--instead of staring ahead at a screen, you find yourself gazing up and around as the wide angle screen draws you into the action. The experience is so real that you become a part of the scenery, flinching, feeling, flying.

Types of Movies
This isn't the place to catch the latest comedy. IMAX runs 70mm films specially made for this type of screen; they usually feature soaring landscapes, perfectly-shot nature footage and enough action to take your breath away. Since the IMAX theater is located in the Science Museum of Virginia, you can pay one price to see the movie and the exhibits.
