Red-shirted, black-bibbed attendants serve grilled burgers made from freshly ground beef, turkey, salmon, and even ostrich sandwiched by buns that are baked in-house daily. Hungry patrons gussy up the meat at a condiment bar stocked with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos and a variety of sauces, then take a seat at tables topped with a black-and-white checkered tablecloths. Sides of cole slaw, baked beans and wedge-shaped fries complete the picture.

Long Wait for good burgers

No matter what the length of the line, the wait always takes longer than the meal itself. Never go there if you are on a limited lunch from work. The waiting area is the same area as where people use the buffet line to put fixings on the burgers and get drinks. Note - if you normally avoid buffets for reasons of food sitting out or kids hands everywhere, AVOID!

The up side, the burgers are good.

Big Disappointment - Avoid

After years of wanting to try this restaurant, we tried it last night. AWFUL. The tables were dirty, the floor had trash and debris and the people didn't care. We had a party of four. Three of us had our food and the fourth was not ready. I went back to the counter and three employees walked within three feet of me and another customer, but no one cared. Finally, I flagged someone down. The restaurant may have once been great, but its days are long since passed. The food did taste good, but as I was leaving I was concerned about the cleanliness and wether my choice would haunt me the next day. So far so good, but we will not be going back. I would write more, but I can't imagine this restaurant being around too much longer. Too bad, because you could see how great it once was, and one of the employees was very nice (but we never saw him when we needed him). Oh, and they are supposed to be famous for the shakes. However "it was broken." It apparently ate the food because the shake machine has stuff coming out of different openings and had caused quite a mess on the floor. The staff did not seem concerned as the multiple footprints through the mess going in both directions showed they knew where it was and wanted to spread the shake all over the floor. If the customer couldn't have it, at least the four corners of the kitchen could.

• Pros: hamburger tasted good.
• Cons: filth, employees who did not care (or I had taken my invisibility pill and forgot!)

Oh no, don't eat here.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. The silverware is placed in bins for anyone to walk up and touch. The condiments are all slopped up and gross.

Getting someone to wipe off the table was a major feat in itself.

Kid Friendly

Fuddrucker's definately is the best for burgers. There are numerous different toppings you can add to your burger for no charge, and they are always cooked to perfection. For the kids, they have a wide variety of kid's meals, and they also have an area with video games to keep them busy while I can finish my meal. On Wednesday nights there is a clown that comes and blows balloons in any shape, animal, alien, etc. that a child could want. It's great when the managers come to the table to make sure that everything was alright.

Super Yum!!

My friends and I are all addicted to Fuddruckers. The burgers are always cooked exactly to our specification and the menu has a nice variety(incase burgers aren't your thing). Their salads are generous with a nice variety of lettuce and toppings. The staff is always attentive, polite and friendly.

For burgers there is no other place to go!!

Burgers Are Great!

Fuddruckers is the best burger joint I have been to. It costs more than most burger joints, but you get what you pay for. The burgers are huge and they just taste great. I usually go to the one in Fredericksburg, but just recently went to the one in Ricmond and it was great! Keep up the good work Team Fudd!

To Get the Best

To Get the Best Burger, I used to drive 120 miles from Charlottesville and back to this Fuddruckers! It was definitely worth the trip. The burgers were fresh, big, and juicy! Never much of a crowd unless it was during the weekend. Glad to see it's still tops.

I love this restaurant and one of the things I love the best is the roll of papertowel on each table! My children love this too and I cannot really explain it but the sandwiches are often messy and not having to use expensive napkins is great. And the manager always comes over and asks if everything is alright,.

Fudruckers is good but not good enough to be # 1.

The place is usually teaming with loud kids and is sometimes not as clean as you'd expect. The food is good but really thats the only draw to Fudruckers.
