Visions is one of the few clubs in Richmond that offers a varied age group. On any given weekend evening patrons range in age from 21 to 81. It is a really good place to go for people over 21 that still enjoy the club scene.

Stay away from this nursing home recreation center. The music will have you feeling like John Travolta. Every other song is a line-dance. If you can't line-dance but love to do it anyway, this is the place for you, you'll fit right in. Being from South Richmond, I'm embarrassed to have the club on this side of the river. Do yourself a favor and drive downtown to dance with other singles. Paying for a taxi downtown and back, so you don't drink and drive, is worth not going to Visions.

Cons: Service stinks, Crowded sweaty people, Not enough room

Susanne Currie, owner of DJ Connection, runs the best karaoke in Richmond, inspiring a large and loyal following. There are several reasons for this: she is absolutely fair in her rotation, which is so important to regular karaoke singers; her music selection is enormous and varied; and her positive attitude encourages even the newest singer to participate. As a bonus, Susanne makes computer sheets for each of her regulars, with their usual songs listed, so they can just check off and hand in their choices for the evening at the beginning of the show. In short, DJ Connection is karaoke at its most enjoyable. Penny and Raymond Farace

I have participated in numerous karaoke events, but Visions (Richmond, VA) has the BEST in town! The crowd welcomes ALL singers of all ages. The hostess, Suzanne, is fair in allowing everyone the opportunity to sing. I have never experienced so many additional opportunities: private karaoke parties, recordings, singing opportunities (weddings, receptions, etc.). What a group! Every form of music (except opera) sung by those of great talent - and those of lesser talent. It's fun.
