Gee, I wonder who wrote all those wonderful reviews, zami was an employee that is now in legal dispute with Darlene Stone, the current owner. Or maybe it could be ambergrubbs, jbeale23 or dentonx5 all members of Darlene Stone's family. All of the horrible reviews are REAL customers!!! Don't be fooled, any good technician that worked there has probably left and what's left is a sad place to come to for decent services in an ugly atmosphere. That place is not what it used to be since it changed hands.
Pros: Some technicians are decent
Cons: owner is awful, place is dirty and has insects, many of them

My bridesmaids and I got manicures the day before my wedding. Our nail polish peeled and chipped by the next morning. When we notified the owner, Darlene Stone, she offered each of us a $7 refund on a $33 manicure, and acted as if we had no grounds to complain about the service we received. On top of that, it took her nearly a week to return our phone calls. Faceworks used to be the best place in town to get a manicure and pedicure. Clearly the quality of the products and the customer service, primarily the customer care offered by the owner, has declined.

I am highly pleased with the services I recieved at Face Works Day Spa. The customer services was superb, I was greeted with smiling faces taken on time for my appointment and offered a beverage to enjoy. I recieved the best pedicure and manicure ever with Jennifer, I also received a heavenly facial.

Wow! I cannot say enough about Faceworks. I've been to many spas in Richmond and this one ranks among the best. The staff was so friendly and the service was unbelievable. I felt like I was definitely being catered to throughout my visit. It was a very relaxing atmosphere just as one would hope. I recommend Faceworks to anyone looking for excellent service and treatments. I can't wait to return!

Awful customer service. Agree with toastmelo. Don't bother with this one....there are better spas in Richmond.

My husband scheduled via phone a prenatal massage for my birthday. However, my doctor does not recommend me getting one. When my husband called to ask them to cancel, they said that they could but not until Monday morning. When he called back Monday morning, they said the manager was going to be back on Tuesday and could do it then. He drove to the spa and the manager informed him that they would and could not do a cancellation despite the fact that they had told him they would. The manager then stated that she recalled speaking to me when I called to cancel. I have never called them - my husband was the only one communicating with them. I am shocked at the customer service of a spa and have never had such an experience. We have never received services from them or gift certificate and they refuse to refund our money. There are alot of great spas in Richmond - don't try this one!

The staff was very friendly and took me at my appointment time. My massage was VERY enjoyable and the facility was very clean...I felt "refreshed" and I can't wait to return again!

The staff was very professional, the atmosphere very relaxing and the treatments where some of the best I've ever received.
