I am a working mother and have 3 children. When we moved to Richmond 4 years ago, picking a Pediatric group was an easy decision. No other practice in town is open from 7:30am -7:30pm Monday through Friday. These hours work for me and my schedule. We rarely need the Saturday hours because we can go during the week. No other group in town offers the lactation support that this group has put together. If you are planning on nursing your baby, this group is worth checking out. The doctors and NPs have been rated year after year as best Pediatric Group in Richmond by Style Magazine. They aren't the authority, but year after year... I have to say, I agree with Style.
Pros: smart. current medical advice. thoughtful. clean. friendly.
Cons: none yet.

Even though, I enjoy the doctors and think they are extremely professional and kid-friendly. I cringe whenever I have a need for after hours assistance. I've had a couple of problems with the after hours support staff (one nurse in particular). My experience with one operator and the "on-call nurse" was not a favorable one. They both seemed as though I disturbed them and their responses were very abrupt. The nurse seemed insensitive, rushed and bothered.

This group of pediatrics could not treat my son's reflex issue for the past 10 months. During that time, my son has undergone several procedures (every thing came normal) and was give lots of medication. I changed the doctors last month and surprisingly it was cured in less than a weel. I will never ever take my kid to this pediatric association.
Pros: Nice facility
Cons: No expert doctors

Dr. Snead is the BEST! My children (son- age 9, and daughter- age 11) actually asks when they can go back and see Dr. Snead!!!! He loves what he does and it shows. His number one priority is helping children get well and stay well. I whole-heartedly recommend him!
Pros: Relates to kids, Makes visits FUN, caring and thorough
