best pizza in richmond!
by cheergrl800
Bottoms Up is one of my familys favorite places to go for dinner! Sitting on the deck and having a slice of their world class pizza is a tradition once a month and when family comes in to town. I recomend it to anyone and everyone!
One of the true staples in Shockoe Bottom, this landmark has more character than a Woody Allen flick.

The Scene
The interior is urban cool carved out of an old tobacco warehouse. The back indoor dining area has high ceilings, fans and garage door-style windows that the crew rolls up on nice days. Pictures of old Richmond adorn the walls, giving it a nostalgic feel. Outside: For starters, we're talking about two outdoor decks. They overlook a train trestle running on a gracious curve through the yard. Trainspotting here can get loud.
The Food
Everything is good here, but you're here for the pizza. Thick crust and toppings galore bring this pizza to life. The specialty pizzas have built Bottoms Up's reputation. At lunch, you can preorder (by 11:30am) your food and save a seat on the deck during the otherwise crazy lunch rush. Take note: The pizza here is outstanding.

Highly overrated. Definitely not for true pizza lovers. Maybe Bottom's Up would win for best looking customers. Also, very loud music and trains overhead.
- Pros: Nice patio, good looking customer
- Cons: pizza
Yummy!

The pizza at bottoms up is fantastic. The atmosphere is almost just as good, although the wait to be seated can sometimes be trying, but its worth it!
- Pros: Good Atmosphere, Nice Bar, Great Food
- Cons: Crowded, Bad Parking, Long Wait
Awesome!

The Chesapeake is the best pizza I've ever had - crab, cheese, and sweet onions!
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: Crowded
Great Pizza

Best dough in town. The crust could have been made in a bakery. Its got a wonderful texture and mouthfeel and is complimented nicely by the not-so spicy sauce and toppings.
We live in Washington DC and make a special trip to Bottoms up when we visit friends in Richmond.
- Pros: great pizza
- Cons: tough parking, very popular
Bottoms Up deserves a thumbs up

I have never had pizza or breadsticks for that matter that have tasted so good. The service is excellent and the prices are great. I love to eat there on either a saturday night out on the town or for a quiet lunch with friends.

white pizza to die for
by bferrell
never thought I'd like a pizza without tomato sauce! the white pizza is a smile for your taste buds. Once you eat white, you'll never go back to a tomato sauce pizza.
