Delicious ice cream in a great location

Bev's makes wonderful ice cream in lots of exciting flavors. Plus, they're located right across from the Byrd on Cary. Great place to go for a snack, and if it's not your thing I also recommend the Ben & Jerry's next door.

• Pros: Delicious, local ice cream
• Cons: Potentially eating too much delicious, local ice cream

The Scene
Tucked into a subtle building in the midst of Carytown, Bev's might be easy to miss if it weren't for the coffee-scented breezes wafting out the door. Too hot for a cup? No problem, since Bev's offers a wonderful selection of ice cream and smoothies.

The Food
The menu is chock-full of funky flavored homemade ice cream: candy cane, pina colada, dirty chocolate, almond joy and bananas foster. There are also gourmet sandwiches and salads. Have a high-energy smoothy, frappe, egg cream or an ice blended coffee or malt to wash it down.
