Best first experience

Thanks to all the reviewers out there who said so many great things about Aleen, you were right! I went for the first time last night and I was only going to get a simple haircut just to test the waters. Aleen liked the picture I brought in and jumped right into giving me the cut that I wanted. Eventually we started talking about coloring my hair and she showed me all the choices I had with hair color. Although I have highlighted my hair for years I never remembered any stylist really discussing so many options with me so I decided to go for it. After the color was applied I sat reading my magazine wondering if I was about to be sorry for not sticking to the simple haircut plan. But I'm so glad I didn't, I LOVE my hair. The many compliments that I've received at work today have only proved that Aleen knew exaclty what she was doing. Thank you so much.

This is the place to get your hair cut in Richmond, and well worth the price. I've been going to Doug for over five years and he really knows how to cut hair.

Gregory is the best!

I have been going to see Gregory at Visions for over 8 years, and he really is the best stylist in town. As you all know, it’s difficult to find someone you can trust. But whether it’s a cut or highlights, Gregory’s professionalism and talent are truly unique.

I have recommended Gregory to over a dozen friends, and each one has thanked me for the referral. There’s no one else I would trust more!

Your search for a great Hair Stylist is over!!

Every woman knows it is hard to find a stylist that gives you a consistently great haircut every time. Well, Richmond is in luck.

There is such a stylist in our own backyard.

I have been going to Gregory at Visions Salon in the Fan for over 10 years. Though my longevity as a client speaks for itself, it is important to emphasize that his cuts/colors and styling are fantastic!

Absolutely amazing experience!

I choose Visions after reading all of the positive reviews here on this site and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I made an appointment for a haircut but didn't request anyone in particular, I just wanted the first stylist who was available and so they assigned me Stephanie. I showed her a photo of the haircut I wanted and it was the first time in my life where I actually received a haircut that looked EXACTLY like the photo I brought in! She took her time to make sure she got the haircut right and also took her time in styling and flat ironing my unruly hair. Three weeks later I returned to get a full set of highlights. I told her specifically what I wanted and she followed my instructions perfectly. I've never been so happy with my highlights before! She's incredibly patient, professional and sweet. The only downside to my second visit was the shampooer soaked the upper back of my t-shirt while washing my hair. But the shampooer I had before then was perfect.

The haircut was $40 and the full set of highlights, which included lowlights, were $110. That may sound a tad pricey but believe me, it was absolutely worth every penny. I've been disappointed too many times in the past by going to cheaper salons. Visions and Stephanie is worth the money!

• Pros: Professional and friendly staff. They offer coffee, teas, water and even wine I believe.
• Cons: One shampooer soaked the upper back of my t-shirt but the shampooer I had during my first visit was perfect. You have to search for street parking but it IS Richmond so that's to be expected.

Haircut is okay...not the greatest. Try others first

I chose this place because of the reviews. However, I am a little dissappointed I believed the reviews. This place isnt' as great as what people hype it to be. The service was good, but the haircut was okay. I went there once, and that was about it. Back of my head was uneven, which I didn't notice, until I got home. Little stuff like that, paying attention to detail is important when you go to a salon. I haven't had this before...and now I am sure i won't. I haven't been there since.

dude you need to grow up, and watch your mouth! you are obviously not an educated person. if you hadnt noticed you have to at least write a few sentences, and some people actually look to this web page for advice on where to go and who to see. grow up

Gregory and Visions - a winning combination

Visions is the place to go for a complete hair cutting experience. Gregory is the most talented stylist I have ever gone to. He has the knowledge and experience to make you look wonderful. The staff and other stylists are always friendly and a pleasure to know. I would encourage anyone who wants the total experience to check out Gregory and Visions. You won't be sorry you did.
