This hotel does just enough. The hotel is located in the BEST area of downtown Richmond. The service was acceptable. I wanted to go to a "grass" driving range the Concierge took 20 minutes to get the request just right. They helped me choose to an incredible restaurant (Sam Millers). I asked to be placed in a quiet section of the hotel and I was placed next to the elevators. The walls are thin. The bed was not soft, but I got a good nights sleep. The TV was ok (small, but good cable channel selection). They charge for local calls?! This hotel would not be considered luxury in Boston or Chicago...but this is Richmond. Two hotels compare to this hotel. The Omni is WAY better than the Crowne Plaza. If price is not a problem stay at the Jefferson, otherwise you can't get a better "luxury" hotel in Richmond.

Pros: location, service, get fit rooms

Cons: service, luxury tease

use Hotwire for 63 dollars per night -- bargain. Location can't be better. Lobby-level staff were wonderful. The downside -- bed linens were HORRIBLE (torn, holes, sheets too small for king-sized bed). Parking is a rip-off. This is not New York. Valet is a dollar cheaper than self-park, but don't be fooled -- once you've tipped, you're paying over 20 dollars daily. Ridiculous. Especially for folks like us; we stayed one week. Housekeeping was unprofessional. We have a baby who naps in the late morning. One day, a pushy housekeeper said that she had forty rooms to clean and wanted to get in so she could finish and go home. How rude. Would we stay again? Depends on the rate. This hotel is not "luxury" and I wouldn't pay more that 80 per night. Like I said, this ain't New York.

Pros: Good rates via Hotwir, Fabulous location, Mostly friendly staff

Cons: Parking overpriced, Linens in bad shape, Baby cribs shabby

My husband and I just spent a wonderful weekend (the Rendez-vous for Two package) at the Omni while attending the River City Beer and Seafood Fest. The Omni staff are all very friendly and helpful (if we needed anything, it was brought to the room and they can find out anything about anywhere in the city). We were pampered from the moment the valet took the keys from my hand to the moment he handed them back on Sunday (after 5pm). When we returned from the festival Saturday night, our bed had been turned down with little mints, flower petals, a deck of suggestion cards (of things to do while at the hotel) and two robes. We went down to the bar, where the talents of the bartender were limitless. We had room service bring up dinner and breakfast in bed! Loved it! Excellent hotel.

Pros: Great location, Great staff, Great Bar/Restaurant
