My first and only visit to New Kent Animal Hospital was for grooming. I received a coupon in the mail for 10% off grooming. I liked the fact they have extended hours and offer grooming 7 days a week. My vet faxed over the records. New Kent said Lucy was not up-to-date with her bordetella shot. They did not call my vet to check. I was charged for this and she was current. When I picked up Lucy, the bill was over $80.00 for a grooming of $38.00. I questioned this and was told I was charged twice for something so they adjusted the bill to $67.50. $38.00 for grooming, $8.48 for bordetella, $10.51 for fecal exam & $10.51 for office visit. I asked about the 10% discount and was told only the office manager could give it so they credited my account for next time. There will not be a next time.

wonderful staff and fantastic doctors

The staff knows me and my pets by name, and they greet me warmly as soon as I enter. I know that they really care about us. I had to have my dog put down, and the doctors and staff were so compassionate and even sent me a sympathy card. They then welcomed my new puppy and doted on her, which really helped me to heal after grieving. I recommend this business to everyone I talk to who needs a vet. Most of my friends are using them because of the wonderful experience I have had. The doctors really care about animals and take good care of my 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Fantastic and Caring Staff

I was recommended to take my cats to NKAH to have their claws removed, and was completely impressed by the knowledgeable and caring staff. They callied me after the surgery and that night to assure me that my cats were fine. They even went as far as sending get well cards in the mail! Eventhough it is a 45 minute drive to their facility, it is worth it knowing that my pets will be treated with the utmost care and compassion.

We purchased New Kent Animal Hospital last summer and we have been absolutely overwhelmed with the great welcome that our clients have given us. This has allowed us to add another doctor, Dr. Alexandra Jeffers, and expand our hours to seven days per week.
