Waxing Services for Women and Men

Our services provide a natural & less invasive alternative to hair removal using warm soothing waxes. We recommend that waxing services are performed when hair has reached approximately ¼” in length or 2-4 weeks of growth. After waxing please allow 24 hours before exposure to the sun or tanning bed. Newly waxed skin is more sensitive to the sun & will burn easily. We regret that we cannot perform waxing services on clients taking Acutane, Retin-A or antibiotics due to increased sensitivity while taking these products

Spa Etiquette

Appointments Advance reservations for scheduled services are recommended but not necessary. We will always do our best to accommodate you.

Spa Check-In Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment time in order to change & take some time to relax & get prepared to enjoy your treatment.

Cancellation Policy As a courtesy to all, we ask that a minimum 24-hour notice be given if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment(s).

What to Wear Please dress w/‎ comfort in mind. Robes, slippers & private lockers are provided for your use when receiving a treatment. We recommend that you do not bring valuables, as we cannot be responsible for these if they become misplaced.

Quiet Please … Treatments in Session Please turn off (or make silent) cell phones & pagers, & please keep your voice down. Our guests expect & deserve a quiet & relaxing atmosphere while they receive their spa services.

Please Advise Us We ask that you let our staff know about any health issues such as whether or not you are pregnant, recovering from recent surgery or have existing medical concerns such as hypertension, heart disease or athletic injuries. Also, please advise us of allergies & medications so that we may advise you of the best treatments & products for your needs including those that may not be appropriate for you to receive.

Minimum Age The spa is‎ appropriate for children 16 years & older, w/ exception of those being treated w/ the “little princess” services. Please be aware that spa innovations is an adult facility. We are very pleased to service children; however for their own safety & the comfort of other guests, we ask that children not accompany you on your spa visit.

Payments & Gift Certificates Spa innovations accepts spa finder gift certificates, major credit cards (visa & mastercard) & local ashland or mechanicsville checks. We also offer spa innovation gift certificates, please visit our ashland location. Gratuities Gratuities are given at your discretion & will be accepted w/ appreciation. If you have a spa gift certificate, ask if the tip was included. If not, leave a cash tip. As a suggestion, we recommend 15% for good service & 20% for excellent service.
