Must have been there over 100 times and was treated badly today by a manager named Kevin. Managers should be friendly to all customers especially regulars.
Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor..
In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
Outback is great. Best food around and my all time favorite resturant.only disadvantage is that Outback (anywhere) does not take names for smoking tables. You have to just grab a seat when someone gets up. I always feel like a waiting vulture. Then you wait 45 minutes and someone else walks up and takes your table before you can get to it. Why can they not do the same for non smoking sections. Take a name? Also, they do not have call ahead seating or reservations. We live an hour away then when we get there we wait another hour to grab a seat.
Terrible Service. I'd never go back! Wait was too long, and food wasn't that good (wait was long because service was slow).
Good steak doesn't need A1.
Every time I have eaten here, I have been disappointed when I ordered your steaks. They are always a little tough (yes, even filet mignon!), charred on the outside, and tasteless. A GOOD steak has it's own tenderness and flavor, and should not require steaksauce to bring back flavor and moisture.
The whole experience just reeks corporate!
Great Food! And lots of it!. My husband and I go to the Outback in Colonial Heights often. We usually order an appetizer, split a salad and a steak with a yummy sweet potato and their great bread! It's still a lot to eat, and we often end up taking leftovers home for the next day's lunch.
Unbelievable OVERALL!!! Pls Read!!. This is the coolest place I've ever been to (Hugenot/Robious Rd). Amazing food, and EVERYTHING is fresh, down to the diced parsley flakes they sprinkle on their mouth watering garlic mashed potatoes. It is rare to eat at a restaurant where they make everything from scratch! Prices are excellent and the filet with the bleu cheese melted on top is to die for!! Service is excellent b/c of the extraordinary management! I recommend this place to anyone!! Even if you don't like steak, the seafood is amazing as well. And it's flown in fresh also! So cool!!!!
too much hype. Effective advertising campaign gets you in the door the first time, the inability to accept that the food is overpriced and not very good gets you in the second time, take out gets you the third time. Finally, you decide that mediocre isn't what you are looking for and you go somewhere else.
great food great service. Outback has not only great food, but great service. From Steaks that water in your mouth to the fish that flakes right onto your fork. I recommend my two favorites, the Outback Rack which is the New Zealand Rack of lamb that is served with a wine sauce for dipping and the grilled salmon that is grilled to perfection served with a creamy lemon dill sauce.
10. The service and food was outstanding. The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast and friendly. I would more than likey go again. The management team did an outstanding
