Pizza Express Doesn't deliver. I read a lot of rave reviews about Pizza Express but I just wasn't impressed. The service was just OK (I carried out) and the pizza was so so. I love NY style pizza and my expectations were high. The crust was chewy and sweet. I couldn't even cut it with a fork and really had to bite down to break a piece off. The toppings were good and plentiful but not quite what I was expecting. After eating some of my favorite pizza here in Richmond (Mary Angela's, Candela's, Frank's, even Joe's Inn), this pizza just wasn't good. Pizza Express cannot hold a candle to these establishments. I'm afraid I'll have to return to my faves and leave Pizza Express to those who love NY-ish style pizza.

Best New York Style Pizza in town. I visited Pizza Express today and the owner Filippo was so inviting, he was ready to serve my entire family as soon as we entered. I have ordered for delivery and every time my pizza is hot, fresh , and crisp. The menu is large and satisfying, there is something for everyone. Children are welcome and the seating is modern, the restaurant is conveniently located in Quioccasin Station central to the whole West End. There delivery drivers are fast and friendly. I can't say enough good things about Pizza Express. Great service, quality food, exceptional dining all around.

Best Pizza by far - don't let the name fool you!. Agree 100% with everything in previous review - owner Felipo is wonderful and so eager to please. Subs were good, too - GARLIC KNOTS (pizza dough smothered on top with butter/garlic) are great but the pizza is what shines - thin but sweet and chewy crust - great marinara and very NY style. Also eager to cater - don't buy a Pizza Hut pasta dish - try Pizza Express's catering and family menu. My staff loved the chicken parm and the eggplant parm. I found them written up in a blog - perhaps this will convince you too.

Best pizza in Richmond. Best pizza in Richmond, hands down. Felipo is wonderful to us everytime we eat there. If you have a large family or group of friends coming over, you must try their 28 inch pizza! They also deliver which is a huge plus. You can definitely tell the owners are sicilian through their exceptionally wonderful pies!! Not to mention, they were presented an award from NBC yesterday for being the only restaurant in their report with no kitchen violations. Great food made fresh.
