Quick Peek
An infant secretly given away by Lyla's father has grown into an unusually gifted child who hears music all around him and can turn the rustling of wind through a wheat field into a beautiful symphony with himself at its center, the composer and conductor. He holds an unwavering belief that his parents are alive and want him as much as he wants them. Determined to search for them, he makes his way to New York City. There, lost and alone, he is beckoned by the guitar music of a street kid playing for change and follows him back to a makeshift shelter in the abandoned Fillmore East Theater, where dozens of children like him live under the protection of the enigmatic Wizard. He picks up a guitar for the first time and unleashes an impromptu performance in his own unique style. Wizard names him August Rush, introduces him to the soul-stirring power of music and begins to draw out his extraordinary talent. Wizard has big plans for the young prodigy but, for August, his music has a more important purpose. He believes that if his parents can hear his music, they will find him. Unbeknownst to August, they have already begun that journey.

Kids and adults will both love this movie! I couldn't belive I hadn't heard more about this movie when it first came out. It will have you laughing and crying in the same scene...such an inspirational movie. The movie shows how a little boy with a wonderful gift of music touches everyones life he comes into contact with. I didn't want it to end!

august rush even from the beginning moment the movie started it was captivating. its like reality with a tale spin you could only imagine in your dreams. you cant keep your eyes off the screen. the whole movie youre unaware of your sorroundings. it was brilliant! you gasp and sigh and even cry like 5 times in the movie. it makes you feel as if almost you know august and you dont want him to get hurt. robin williams also does a magnifcent performance. but mostly i give it all to freddie highmore. it amazes me how young he is and while he can play outstanding roles with talent as if from years from experience. he is incredibly charming too. the way the movie guides you along on the journey is also fantastic. you will leave the theatre completely shocked. i remember i was sayin WOW like 50 times when i came out. maybe you guys think i am exsagerating but see it for yourself it was so amazing. well thanks for reading. i love freddie highmore!
Pros: THUMBS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY UP
