a really great mexican meal. A friend had recommended this place to me. I went for the first time today and had lunch. My chimichanga plate was delicious with a crispy shell and served on top of a white sauce, I ordered the side of beans with mine. I will definately go back and try the dinner menu.

Good, fast, priced right.... My family and I go to El Cap a lot - it is quick, food is good, traditional Mexican food. There are some good salads, too (try the Fiesta Chicken salad - I think that's the name). Their salsa and white sauce is great on the chips!

Best Mexican Food in Town. You can't find a more pleasant place to eat in Richmond. The food is great. The prices are low and the staff truly seems like they're glad to see you. When you walk in the door you're immediately greeted by a friendly host and two minutes later when the waiter sits a bowl of cheese dip in front of you all of your troubles disappear. El Caporal is a great little Mexican restaurant that does a good job of balancing the menu between truly authentic Mexican dishes and Americanized Mexican food. I strongly recommend the Pollo Sobroso, Alambre and Chile Verde. For those of you who crave really spicy food try the El Padrino and ask for a side of habenero salsa. Enjoy!
