Three Lovely Dinners and hoping for more. I've been lucky enough to have had dinner at Michelle's several times over the past year and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Dinners one and three were with another couple, and dinner two was with 10 girlfriends. The food was delicious. I've tried the she crab soup (best in town), the crab cakes (so hard to order anything else once you've had them), the desserts (yum, but bigger would be better). My husband has had the pork which he loved. Friends ordered everything on the menu and loved it. So, looking forward to returning on August 14th for another great meal!
I would not reccomend Michelle's to anyone.
I drove to richmond, va. from Mechanicsburg, Pa. to take my mother to dinner on mothers day. Reservations had been made by Mr. Haselton for 4:00pm. we arrived at 3:45 pm on mothers day, was seated fairly promptly. Our drink order was taken, i had ordered a beer. when the drinks arrived, there was not glass for the beer. I had to flag the waiter down and told him i would like a glass.
Then we found out it was Buffett! What a shock! I had planned on a nice dinner for my mom on mothers day. we were already there so we went to the "buffett". that was the biggest joke and the food was aweful.
at $27.00/ person, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!
I am very disappointed in this restaraunt. I will probably not go there again. I am sorry i had taken my mom there on Mothers Day, as this was an embarrassment to myself and my wife.
Race seems to be a problem here. I think it is wrong to send your black employees home because the KKK wants to hold an honor meeting at your rest. I thought most companies these day were EOE I guess this place is going to get sued.. I think it is wrong and michelle should be ashamed of herself to do such a thing to employees that have bills to pay and mouths to feed.. The place is haunted and the food was awful and the service was horrible.. The servers were rude and didn't even take the time to get my order right..
A brunch delight!.
It was the perfect fall Sunday. I was in the mood for a cosy brunch in an old historic inn. We found the perfect place. Michelle's Restaurant in the old historic Hanover Tavern fit the bill perfectly. Seated in the glassed-in backporch, the view of the sun-lit back yard was just the ticket. The brunch menu was hard to choose from, everything looked so interesting. Truly a gourmet treat. Their Bloody Mary's were tall and impressively garnished. We started with the oyster appetizer - tasty morsels with a shittake pesto. The cheese grits, shrimp, and sausage dish was garnished with fried brussel sprout leaves - they were caramelized, and were the most amazing compliment to the dish. The only complaints - the a/c was cranked a little higher than it needed to be, and I was freezing - yes, the waiter knew it. The service was slow, but as we weren't in a hurry, it was not an issue - but could use some improvement. And the service was a little inattentive. I get tired of continuing to have to flag down a waiter to have coffee refilled, and forks replaced.
Can't wait to see how they do for dinner. Worth the drive - it's really not that far.
