Morgan Swim School

STAY AWAY!. I would never send a child to this school. It works for some, but not for many. My 2-year-old took a class there. Prior to the class, he loved the water and swimming and had been comfortable in our pool since age 4 months. After the class, he didn't get of the steps of our pool, even in my arms, for 18 months. He was terrified.

The first three days, classes were with the owner, but after that, she put her 15 year old son in charge of the class. On day two, another child in the class (I found out later), threw up some in the pool out of fear, and they kept going with all the kids. Forget the lack of sanitation. If a child is so afraid that they throw up, maybe the mom should have been called and the child given a break from it.

The swim teaching starts with dunking the kids under the water to get them used to it. That's fine, but when my child was yelling in fear, to put him under when his mouth is open and he's gasping for breath, is not ok. He came up coughing water from his throat and I pulled him out of the classes.

I have friends who have directly relayed that their kids have pooped out of fear during the classes, in addition to the above. And when one mom's child didn't want to jump in and was crying in fear, the instructor's response was, "Fear is not a reason to disoby me."

Unless you appreciate your child being taught like a drill sergeant teaches, and being dunked under before they close their mouth, and being terrified to the point of vomiting and pooping, stay away.
