The Best!!. From the time we moved down here to VA, we watched Wagging Tails being built and couldn't wait for it to be completed as we traveled to NJ frequently. Reason we couldn't wait for it to be completed is the kennel we boarded our dogs was totally disgusting to say the least. We came back home a day early only to find the dogs were in excessive heat without any water in their bowls...that was the first and last time we boarded them at that place. Finally Wagging Tails opened and we started boarding and grooming there - they are approximately 44 miles from our home - and I would not go anywhere else. The care our dogs get is just like we give them at home...and Megan, who is Drew's wife...is a person that one cannot say enough good things about...she is the best. We love her and Drew and we love Wagging Tails...yep, Bob and Kelly are great owners and the groomers are super. If anyone says they've had a bad experience with them, I'm sorry, I can't believe it. Wagging Tails - we'll see you tomorrow!!!

Drew Caton, The Dog Whisperer!. I took my 2 out of control 70 pound 1 year old puppies to Drew a few months ago (a pitbull and german shepherd). They were tough to manage and only getting worse and with them both being big and bully breeds I knew I had to do something. I couldn't even walk them on a leash without being drug down the street and around the neighborhood. After the FIRST class with Drew I could walk them both with no problem and several classes and weeks of reinforcement later they are becoming two great well behaved dogs, which I could have never imagined before finding Beast to Best. The on-site kennel is excellent as well, very clean and well-kept with an amazing friendly staff so I knew my dogs were well taken care of on my vacation. It's the best of both worlds here, come for the training and take advantage of the boarding or come for the boarding and take advantage of the training!

Best dog training and boarding!!. We drive 30 minutes every Saturday morning for dog training because WE LOVE IT with Drew and Megan! They have taught us so much and if we ever need a break we can drop them off and know they are being watched over. The atmosphere is great and so are the people!

Absolutely the BEST!!!!!. I do not normally write reviews but just had to in this instance. We have been part of the Wagging Tails Kennel since they were an empty lot. My first Standard Poodle was their first boarder and second groom about 7 or 8 years ago. Champ was to say the least high maintenance as he never had any formal training. Despite his high maintenance Kelly (owner) and the grooming staff were amazing with him. As a matter of fact when he died I was out of town and my wife could not lift him to take him to the vet. I called Wagging Tails to see if they knew of anyone who could pick him up. Without hesitation Kelly and her son came to my home, picked Champ up and took him to the Vet. The love and care he got while he was alive and being boarded or groomed was reflected in how they treated us and him in his death.

My current Standard Poodle, CJ, was also proving to be high maintenance and in desperate need of guidance. It was a no brainer to take him to Drew Caton at Wagging tails. I researched where Drew learned his skills and was very impressed. Well after a week with Drew I have an obedient, great family member. CJ learned his place in the family pack not out of violence but out of the reinforcement he would naturally receive from his mother if he lived in a traditional dog pack. He will be going back to group classes so my daughters can work with him. It is awesome to have him sit patiently while I answer the door without fear of him bolting. I have been in all areas of Wagging Tails Kennel and have seen nothing but cleanliness and care for all of the animals. The owners and staff are amazing and are in the business because they care about animals. I highly recommend anyone in need of grooming, boarding or training to think Wagging Tails first because they are hands down the BEST!!!

Not impressed. I boarded my dog at Wagging Tails for 10 days recently. It was our first time. I signed up for 5 days of boot camp training while he was there. The training room and kennel facilities that I walked through smelled strongly of urine. I was not impressed with the trainer who I believe is the son of the owners. He used prong collars as his first line of training and did not believe in positive reinforcement alone for training. He told me he also uses shock collars and other similar methods when needed. After 5 days of training, my dog seemed to have learned very little except that he wanted out of there ASAP. I don't have anything else to add about the kennel in general.
