Great selection of Beer

The only good thing is the beer list. We sat outside on the patio on a Friday evening and it appeared that we were going to have a pleasant dining experience. Our waiter was friendly, but he clearly had too many assigned tables and was ?MIA? for most of the evening. The libations that we ordered were delivered cold, and our appetizer of ?Fried Calamari? was typical but not exceptional. The problems started when we received our entrees, both of which tipped the scales in the $16 to $18 range. My wife opted for the ?special? which was seared Rockfish. Her meal was over cooked, and the seasonings were caked onto the fish so much so that you could not discern what it was that you were eating. I opted for the ?Chicago Three Way Chili? which in short was inedible; my ?meal? consisted of linguini style noodles smothered with what can only be described as a cross between Hamburger Helper and dog food concealed under melted cheddar cheese. I took two bites and decided I would be better off having another beer than to try and choke down the creation. At least the patrons at the table next to us looked like they were enjoying their hamburgers. I would NOT eat here again, and they should be ashamed to serve that type of food.

Great Beer; Horrible Service!. The food is way over priced for what small portions you do get. Expect friday and saturday nights to be busy. Hostess are not friendly and are not willing to assist an any way to sit you inside instead of outside on a chilly night.

Steal the Glass night is best! You can get tons of great beer glasses. Staff service is poor. Bartenders do not mix drinks well. Beers are almost warm when they get to the table. Table was really dirty and had food left after last guest. Our party stepped all over clam shells and crayons. I cannot believe someone would bring their child to this place! Overcrowded on a friday night and hostess never gave a good time for seating. I waited 45 minutes when the hostess told me 20 minutes! Too expensive for such lousy food!

Lunch was good - Service needed work. Our food was outstanding. However the service was less than desirable. A hostess spilled food on the back of a member of our party and did not acknowledge it. When reported to another server, a half-hearted apology was made with an offer to clean the shirt. Nine persons in our party saw her look at his shirt when she spilled it on him and do nothing about it until we complained. The offer to clean the shirt was ridiculous. We will definitely think long and hard about returning, even though the food was excellent. The word of mouth from this experience has already taken on it's own life. Our waiter was overworked. He had too many tables to adequately give attention to our party of nine.

I love Steal the Glass Night. I amassed many glasses via steal the glass night, (tuesdays). But Capitol Ale House is more than just beer, they have a couple hundred different ones. They have really good burgers and sandwiches. I really enjoyed their different mayos to go with the fries.
