When I experienced a delay in getting the ordered part for my 1988 Honda from Woodfin, I called their Customer Service representative to follow up and track the delivery. I then experienced frustration with a communication breakdown and lack of return phone calls. I then wrote a letter to Woodfin. Manager Robert Davis quickly and professionally responded.
By the way, my letter was postmarked Nov 20th and the delayed part arrived at my front door the following day, Nov 21st, Thanksgiving eve.
I am experienced in high end Customer Service for 42 years. I know what authentic Customer Service is. When speaking with Mr Davis I experienced a professional concern from him for what had transpired at Woodfin. In addition, Mr Davis offered to refund my $14 shipping fee. I accepted his offer. BOTTOM LINE - I AM NOW 100% SATISFIED WITH WOODFIN AND WILL USE WOODFIN IN THE FUTURE AND WILL CONFIDENTLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

As a recycler/supplier for Woodfins I can assure you that they are not the type of business that we reputable parts vendors will do business with. They request from us the cheapest part which is the highest milage and oldest available. They ask that VIN plates be removed to prevent the customer from tracing the true mileage of the part. If you are a salvage yard and have not been stiffed by these guys yet, go ahead and sell them something. You will NOT GET PAID!
bad transmission – i wish i would have seen these reviews before my purchase, i have also bought a transmission which i bought with 3 year warranty, My transmission came from a salvage yard in Wisconsin, it was put in and is a bad transmission after several calls back and fourth between me my garage and Woodfins they promised to send another transmission and refund for fluid and seals and filter however they don't want to pay installation which coast me additional, we never even could get car out of garage or test drive, after reading the other reviews do I think I may not have a choice but to take action through an Attorney.. If i do not get compensated for my expenses and receive an replacement in excellent working order they will have limited time to rectify the situation if they want to avoid legal action I am looking for restitution of a transmission and cost for labor and parts., sure it will become far more expensive for them if i have to take action
The Run Around – So even though every website about this company gives them a really bad review....Guess what... I didn't listen!
I am not going to say not to shop here, because someone might have a better exprience than what I had.
My car needed its wheel bearing replaced but because the wheel bearing was so bad, I had to replace the whole wheel hub assembly (Wheel frame)
I was going to order it online, but I found out Woodfins was near my house and it takes "2-3" days instead of 7-10 business days from the online website. So I spoke with a gentleman about the part at woodfins and he told me I can come down there and pay for the part and it will be there within 2-3 days and that it was only 65 dollars.
I get there and the part is 81 dollars and the sales associate acted as if he had no idea what I had ordered. Then he said it will be there by the middle of next week. Um No it took 7-8 days to get my part and then to make it all worse it was the WRONG part.
I sent my boyfriend up there to exchange the part and someone else says "we order the part it'll be there in 2-3 days"(Yeah we know that's not true), So I call there the same day and the original sales associate told me "I don't even know what I order because he ordered the right part and its my fault that I received the wrong part because I probably don't know what I needed anyway, There's nothing I can do for you at this point, I mean I'm sorry it happened, but its not like it's my fault", Oh yeah he even said this and I wish he would have said this to my boyfriend "Oh you should be glad that you're even getting the part for this price, anywhere else it would have been way more money" .... so I called 4 days later and I was placed on a 15-18 min hold, just for the sales associate to tell me "Oh my system isn't updated so I'll call you back in 5 mins" ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That was cover up to say.. Ohhhh I forgot, let me order it now! So I have been waiting 2 weeks for nothing..... Then to get a refund when I paid cash I have to wait a week for them to write me a check and mail it.... Really pathetic! Wow... What a Company. So Again, I am not saying don't order from this company, but I would try and see if somewhere else had it

We needed to purchase a Transmission for our Dodge Caravan, we found Woodfin Auto on the internet, unsure of the RE MANUFACTURED status of the parts, we called and spoke to someone in customer service to verify the part was in fact RE MANUFACTURED and not just a used part from the junk store. They assured us they were quality RE MANUFACTURED parts, we placed our order totaling 1,000 which is a lot of money two weeks before Christmas, when you have two small children and a very tight budget. The part arrived only to find that it was basically a used transmission that had been taken from another vehicle and the hoses removed. The part had not been cleaned nor taken care of. They mechanics are currently trying to work with what they have to see if they can even get it to start. Very disappointed. We called to complain, and they asked us what we expected from a used part! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

WOODFINS WILL NOT HONOR EVERDRIVE'S WARRANTIES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. INSTEAD GO TO A WEBSITE CALLED CAR-PART. THIS IS A WEBSITE THAT LOCATES PARTS FOR YOU THROUGH OUT THE NATION AND ITS FREE. YOU DONT HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT. YOU JUST PUT IN YOUR SEARCH CRITERIA AND BINGO YOU HAVE A PART LOCATED FOR YOU. YOU CALL THE YARD ON THE SCREEN AND ORDER YOU PART.
How could decent service go so wrong? – I came into Woodfins around October 20th to find a replacement tail light for my Honda CR-V. This place used to be a Honda graveyard with a lot full of Hondas. They now have all makes and models- but also outsource orders through a nationwide network. This is how my trouble began...
I stopped in and Al helped me. Nice guy, very helpful. He informed me they didn't have a CR-V on the lot, but helped me place the order online (which I could have done from home). I waited 5 days and I received a tail light for a Toyota Camry. Al put the order in correctly, but the remote location shipped the wrong part.
I came back in to Woodfins and Al was busy, so another guy put in the order for the correct part. I had been specific with Al- I wanted a genuine used honda part. This guy ordered me an aftermarket part that didn't fit. I brought the part back in and Al said we should try again.
I waited 5 days... I got a message saying they would like a picture of my existing part for clarity. No problem. I took my CR-V to Woodfins. Al didn't know how to get the light off, so I told him to just put in the order for the part I was specifying.
Trusting Al, I watching him go to the guy who processes orders and he told the guy to process my order today. Okay... great. I waited 5 days. No part. I waited 3 more days... NO PART.
I called and a customer service guy told me my ordered was canceled the day I came in with the CR-V and spoke to Al. No notes as to why, it was just canceled.
WOW. It is now December 3d. It has been almost 2 months, no part, no resolution.
I asked for my money back. That took a couple of days and I called them everyday to check on it.
Al was really kind and polite, but the follow through just isn't there. They are very busy and their computers are not up to date. If you can't pull it yourself or have them pull it from their lot, don't bother. The ordering system is jacked!
TERRIBLE COMPANY – I am rating them one star because I cant give them any less.
I purchased an engine for my Rodeo Isuzu and got the wrong model and year of engine. As I kindly ask to return it CUSTOMER SERVICE says "you are being picky!"
Woodfin told me to deal with the company they bought from and not them. Everytime I call its a new excuse they are a no good company with zero customer service skills.
Save yourself the billing dispute.
Don't deal with this company!!!! – I wouldn't give this company one star!! They have not refunded the money owed us after returning their no good parts!!! Two months and waiting!!! Lied everytime we've called!! Had to take it further to get our money back!!! Save yourself time and headache!!!
