Vets that Care about your Pets! This is the place for you!. I recently took my cat, without an appointment, to the Church Hill Animal hospital. Instead of turning me away with a "set up an appointment and we'll get back to you." they took a look at my cat with no hassle. Not recommending you don't make an appointment, BUT if something comes up with your pet(s) and you're just are too frantic/worried to call(Like myself) these people will help you out and won't charge you a 'didn't make an appointment fee'. These are the people who really do care about your pet(s) not your wallet. They also have a great staff who will help you through out the whole vet visit and make you feel very comfortable(They're also very polite and kind). . On side note my Vet Doctor, Carolyn W. Clay, DVM, was very helpful and understanding to my situation, I couldn't have asked for a better Vet to handle my pet. I can and will recommend this to my fellow pet owners who want a vet who will help them out through thick and thin.

LIFESAVING VET. There is no way possible I could ever thank Doctor D'Alfonzo and Church Hill Animal Hospital enough for the care and compassion they gave Marty McFly and myself on May 7 2009. My cat had a freak throwdown with my dog and suffered serious bites, scratches, bruises, trauma and stress he had never experienced before. When I came home to my half lifeless companion I was scared and hysterical. I called the first number I could think of: Church Hill Animal Hospital. The staff member who answered my ballistic call was patient and understanding, asked for a little detail and told me to come in ASAP and we'd be seen immediately.

Sure enough, I brought in my babe wrapped up in a towel and was instantly escorted into an open door where a staff member and Doctor D'Alfonzo instantly greeted Marty & I with care and concern. They wasted no time and immediately started tending to Marty, caring for his eyes and wounds. They were so sweet and loving to my little guy and assured me he taught the dog a strong lesson!

They saved me time and MONEY by taking X-Rays and giving him a couple staples and IV and fluids right then and there. They referred me to VEC (which would have cost an arm and a leg if they had done those major procedures that Church Hill Animal Hospital took care of for us) for overnight monitoring, which I'll leave another great review for next!

Most importantly of all Church Hill Animal Hospital saved my cat.

great vet!. We just switched from Betty Baugh's in the west end when we moved to the east end. Dr. Jack imediately found an ear and gland infection that the other vet missed. She costs a lot less too.

best EVER. I am sad i will be leaving churchill but will continue to use Dr. Jack or Dr. Clay. Hands down best in Richmond, and best I have experienced to date.
