Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

AuspeciousLady. My Husband and I tried OutBack, because he had won a $45 gift certificate. Well, we can now say we tried it, but never again!! Most everything we eat that night had some sort of spices on it or in it!; the blooming onion, the sauce for the blooming onion, the steaks that we both had, even down to the dressing for our salads!! So I thought well I can get through this if I can get a glass of milk-(they don't serve milk!), by the time my husband and I left, our mouths and lips were burning like fire so bad that we had to stop at the gas station two doors down and get a quart of milk to put the fire out!!! If not for the $45 GC, we would have not paid a dime for that meal!!! :-}~

Undercooked Meats. This is the second time my family has went there for steaks, and the steaks come out undercooked. I ordered my steak medium-well done, and it was still very much rare. I cut into the steak, and it was still bloody. I sent my steak was sent back, and didnt return to my table for 30 minutes at which was way over well done when it was back. I could barely cut the meat at all. My husband's steak which was the 16oz prime was only about 2-3 oz of meat, the rest of the steak was nothing but fat. I will never eat at Outback again. It is a pain to have to send the food back over and over. By the time the over well done steak came back...I wasn't hungry anymore, and didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for them to cook me yet another steak.
