On July 22 2006, I requested an additional 20 chairs for my daughter's wedding guests to be seated. The head hostess, Pat, told me I would have to pay for them, which I agreed to. In fact my ushers set up the additional chairs. Just as my daughter, Breena Loving, was getting ready to walk down the aisle, Pat came up to her, told her that she (Pat) was calling the wedding off. Pat said that we had requested too many changes, and she wanted everybody off of her property. If we did not leave immediately, we were trespassing, and she was going to call the police. As the mother of the bride, I am appalled and disgusted how anybody in her line of business could behave so unprofessionally. For Pat to threaten the bride with canceling of the contract (contract was of $850.00 for just the ceremony), much less threaten to call the police, when all the guests were seated and the bridal party was ready to walk down the alter - just because we requested 20 more chairs - is not only despicable, but cruel. I do not recommend Dellwood or their services to anyone. If you want professional, and gracious hostessing at your next important event, don't employ the services of Dellwood. If it were not for the elegant reception at the Old Town Catering Company that followed the ceremony, Pat would have completely ruined my daughter's wedding day.
