This store is great!.
I have been taking my daughters to Plato's Closet ever since they came to Richmond! They use to be located on Forest Avenue ny Tuckahoe Elementary. Now they are on West Broad Street and in a great location!
The owners are friendly and the employees are just as nice. They are all quite knowledgable when it comes to the latest styles! My daughters are always able to find what they are looking for and it is always affordable.
I myself shop for shoe, designer purses and jewelry while I am there! You just can not beat the selection or the price!
The store has recently been remodeled and looks fantastic! It is always neat and the employees are always available to help if we have questions or need guidance.
The young men and women (most of them local high school and college kids) are just so friendly! They always welcome the customers when entering the store and always treat me and my daughters like they care!
We have bought and sold items at Plato's! This store is fantastic!
If you have not checked it out you need too!!!!!
Editorial Review. This teen-conscious consignment shop buys and sells name brands at a discount, from Forever 21 to Skechers to Sean John to Diesel.
What to know before you go....
Plato's Closet... I can honestly say that I have been in and out of that store several times to sell some of my goods and to check out whats there hanging on the racks. However, this store lacks professionalism in every way, friendly employees, and one can probably get more on eBay or Craigslist than going to Plato's Closet.
-Plato's Closet hires mainly females who I can honestly state that they lack fashion sense as well as their retail personality. The employees rarely smile and lack that positive attitude most retail sales persons would have in most retail stores. They keep to themselves and look down on you when you would like a fitting room or any questions at all. They should really train their employees.
-Unfair... I have seen MANY times unfair practice within Plato's Closet. Many of the employees will favor their friends and take most or all of the things their friends bring in (even if it is out of style and obviously worn). I have been refused great pairs of Gap jeans and Abercrombie jeans and even se7en jeans... why? I have no clue. (these jeans dont fit me anymore so why not make a buck or two off of these expensive jeans.
-Plato's Closet isn't as great as they make themselves out to be. I have only been to the 2 Richmond stores and not any other in other areas. i give them a 3.5 out of 10. They could really choose their employees better.
