Fantastic Service and Wonderful Food. I absolutely love this Carrabbas! Not only is the food made perfectly every time, the service is flawless. The waiters are knowledgeable and give excellent recommendations. Not only that, but everything is brought to the table at the perfect time, I've never been left waiting for my food. I wouldn't love Carrabbas half as much if it wasn't for the service. The food is amazing too though, the Chicken Bryan is fantastic, as is the Sirloin Marsala. I do feel like the food is a little bit pricey, but it's on par with Olive Garden prices, which considering how much better the food is, makes it worth it.
An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain..
In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.
GONE WAY DOWNHILL - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Used to be one of our favorites - but Carrabbas at Chesterfield Towne Center has steadily gone downhill over the last 2-years. There are just too many other good places to go to rather than wasting time and money at Carrabbas. It's really a shame, because it was so good when it first opened, and regularly had waiting lines for years. No more, though. We have better food at just about any other place we go. We used to go about once a week, but after the bruschetta changed to basically a cracker with sauce, half cooking the salmon, only offering tomato sauce as a salmon topping (no longer offering the honey lime), serving the spagetthi with water in the bottom of the bowl, cutting way back on the serving sizes, etc., it's completely off our list.
Leaves the Olive Garden in the dust.....
We usually go about once a month and have been about 9 times total (so far). The food is well prepared and quite delicious. The service over all has been excellent. On one occasion the service was a bit slow...but they were busy and appeared to be short staffed that evening. We most recently went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. At the conclusion of the meal, the floor manager and the server presented us with a "Chocolate Dream" desert- at no charge, in honor of our anniversary. Though no longer on the menu, they will serve "The Damian" or "The Johnny "combo platters...definitely give each of those a try to taste 3(each) of their best dishes. They will also try to cater to special requests/changes as well.
We have gone as a couple and as part of a party of friends and we have not yet been disappointed.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!. Customer Service is horrible. WE have visited the location at Chesterfield Mall and in Williamsburg. WE have given Gift Cards to family only To Be ASHAMED. The food was not delivered on Time, coffee was not brought until we left, SERVICE was AWFUL. The Managers at both locations did not CARE about our experiences. WE have gone as a couple and as a family....WE were extremly disappoiinted. WE have given this dining expereince at least FOUR chances....NO MORE! Never Again! HORRIBLE.
