I am in law enforcement and was having a great deal of pain in my left foot. After tending to my 70 year old mother (the RN), who had bunionectomy's on both feet & multiple hammer toes fixed, I was a little hesitant. On Thursday night, (approx 12 hours after sugery) I felt the "full force" of the surgery. I made it through the first night, and by Saturday I was walking softly on my foot. Although they did not provide or reccomend the use of crutches...I had a pair and used them for the first couple of days! I will need to have the right foot done, and have every intention of having Dr. Zimmer take care of me!!!
