Beautiful Selection, Impeccable Customer Service. I have only had wonderful experiences at Bella Rosa. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and compassionate. It is a beautiful store with a great selection. My consultant made looking for the dress so much fun. From the alterations department to the owner, everyone has gone out of their way to be helpful and kind. I highly recommend this store for a memorable and positive experience! The customer service is worth a visit alone :)
Wonderful experience at Bella Rosa. I purchased my weddng dress recently at Bella Rosa and had a wonderful experience. My consultant, Camberly, was very knowledgable, friendly and worked within my budget (without making me feel like i was on a budget). Great experience so far!
Wonderful Bridal Boutique. This boutique is convenient, cozy, and clean. The moment you walk in your welcomed by the staff. While you wait sometimes there will be food and coffee available. The Consultants are great listeners and really try their best to get you what you want, at a price range you can afford. The dressing rooms are a good size, and consultants provide you w/ whatever you need while you try on gowns. They help you put them on and take them off. They have pedestals and 3 paned mirrors. I would rate this the best Boutique I've been to in VA, and I've been to 3. This is the most sophisticated and professional of them all. I bought my dress from them myself, and I'd reccommend them to all brides. Oh and I don't find them to have a hint of racism...I'm mixed so I would know ;) But it is common sense to make an appt at a bridal boutique before you go.
Wonderful experience!. I bought my wedding gown from Bella Rosa and loved my experience there! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I went to all the bridal shops in Richmond and this was the only one that asked me how much I wanted to spend. My attendant, Phyllis, was extremely helpful in helping me pick out which gowns to try on. She was very knowledgeable about the gowns they have in stock and what gowns would match my price and preferences. I would definitely recommend Bella Rosa to a friend!
Great Experience so far.. Just had my appointment at Bella Rosa this past week. I met with salesperson (Danielle) who was great. I made an appointment on a Tuesday and was able to get in on Thursday of the same week. I was coming from work and got there about 15 min. early, but Danielle was able to take me early. We talked a little about what I was looking for and my budget. It was a much more laidback, pleasant experience than other places I have been. Danielle was great and worked within my budget, asking questions and really seemed concerned about meeting my needs. She did give me a head's up about alterations costs to take into account, which can run pretty high, but it was good to know ahead of time before picking out my dress. She also told me that some of the dresses can take up to 4 months to come in, so that was helpful to know ahead of time as well. I narrowed things down to 2 dresses and got ready for her sales pitch at the end of the session as I experienced elsewhere, but she was very laidback and told me to take my time, it was awesome. I was very pleased with this store and will definitely be buying my dress from here.
A sheer delight. Highly recommended!.
I decided it was time to go shopping for my wedding gown about two months after getting engaged, so I made sure to read about the shopping “etiquette” before embarking on this journey. So I learned quickly that appointments are a must! That is just what I did with Bella Rosa. Although it was slightly short notice, I called on a Tuesday morning to see if I could request an appointment for the upcoming Saturday, in the morning. They were able to accommodate me. In the meantime, they asked for my email address and sent me a very helpful email about what to expect for my appointment. That was a very nice touch.
I had heard wonderful things about Bella Rosa, so I definitely wanted to go there, despite most of their gowns being out of my budget (which is $1,000). I arrived a little early and was greeted upon my entrance through the door and after getting my name, they told me it would just be a few moments because my sales consultant was just finishing up with another client. The atmosphere was wonderful. The shop was huge and elegant. My two friends and I sat on the sofas and browsed some of the books they had on the coffee table. Within minutes my consultant, Danielle, greets us. She sits with us and asks me about what I am looking for as far as my dress style. I show her some of the photos I had, and told her about my beach wedding. She asks my budget, and she doesn’t even bat an eyelash. I was worried my budget might be a little low for Bella Rosa, considering the fact that they carry some very nice (but pricy) designer labels.
After a few minutes of speaking with Danielle, we go to the back where all of the bridal gowns are. She shows me the different areas with the trunk show and sale items, then we make our way through the sea of beautiful gowns. She was very familiar with the gowns on the rack and that was very helpful in our search for finding gowns she knew I’d like. She also kept in mind my budget, which I appreciated. I ended up with 7 dresses to try on. I asked her if I could use a long-line bra and spanx and she grabbed both for me to use under the gowns. The dressing room was huge, and she stayed in there to help me get in and out of the dresses. She also asked me about my wedding and my fiancé, so I liked that she was so friendly and engaging. The back room with all of the wedding gowns was also huge, and even though there was another bride on the other side of the room, I almost never saw her. My friends were seated in comfortable chairs outside the dressing room, in front of the 3-way mirror and pedestal. So it was nice knowing that they were comfortable too. I ended up falling in love with a dress that I wanted to alter slightly (add spaghetti straps). She told me they have an alteration department at their shop and could accommodate what I needed. While I was standing there on the pedestal, admiring my dress, I braced myself for a moment while I asked Danielle the price and designer. It was $740. I was ecstatic! I still told her I wanted to “sleep on it”, and probably come back with my mother to try it on another time, just to be sure that it’s “the dress”. She was not at all displeased by this. While she was helping me in the dressing room, she also gave me tips as far as wedding dress shopping in general, including tips if I go to another bridal shop. And that felt very good, like she wasn’t just trying to make a sale and was genuinely trying to help me find my dream dress. I really appreciated that, and it makes me want to go back.
After that day, and going to other bridal shops, I still feel the best about the dress I tried on in Bella Rosa. Bella Rosa also stood out, with the most outstanding customer service compared to the other shops I visited in the area. I look forward to returning to try on that gown again when my mother comes into town.
ideal bridal salon. From previous reviews here and elsewhere, I knew I should make an appointment at Bella Rosa in advance (but who really thinks you can walk into a busy bridal salon and try on gowns at a moments notice? And who slams them online when they can't get their way?) Anyway, they were very nice on the phone, answering a lot of my questions in advance and sending me an e-mail with even more information that was helpful. Enjoyed a very relaxed hour-long appointment late on a Saturday and was impressed with the employee's knowledge of the dresses and what would work best for me. Altogether a much better experience than I had elsewhere--and not even comparable to the stores I visited where they take "walk-ins." Those stores are absolute zoos--not the kind of experience I wanted. Bella Rosa is the real deal for discerning brides--other brides may just not get it.
Nicest bridal boutique in Richmond by a long shot ....
I just got engaged on Thanksgiving and of course the first thing I wanted to do was start searching for my gown, so I set up appointments at nearly every boutique I could find (from a previous experience as a bridesmaid, I knew I could avoid a couple of them altogether, including Davids!)
After visiting three shops in one exhausting day with mixed results and a bit of disappointment over the lack of what I imagined to be the perfect bridal shopping experience (perhaps my expectations were too high?) I finally made it to Bella Rosa on Saturday. From the first step through the door I knew it was more what I'd been hoping. It's a beautiful store and even though there were customers spread out all over the place (and it's a pretty big place) there was an employee near the door who greeting my friends and I as we came in.
We were a little early for our 11:30 appointment so we started by browsing their bridesmaids area (tons of choices, and I'm a little worried about getting to that part of the selection process!) and then our consultant came over and introduced herself. She was very nice and obviously very knowledgable, asking some very probing questions that allowed me to tell her just what I (thought I) was after. An hour and a half later, with her gentle nudging, she helped me find a dress that was very little like I thought I would like but looked absolutely fabulous on me (my "dream dress" turned out to be all wrong for my body type.) If I could have, I'd have probably spent another hour trying them on, just for fun, but honestly I was exhausting my friends and would have just confused myself!
I strongly recommend Bella Rosa for their selection (a huge room full of beautiful dresses) their staff (the three or four I talked to while we were there were sweet as pie) and their values (I saw gowns from $1500 to $2500, and saw some price tags that started at $700.) Don't believe the bad reviews--they must have caught somebody on a bad day or something!
Horrible customer service!. I called before going to get directions and all because I have heard raves about the shop and was very exited! Upon entering the store, I saw a lady at the front desk, who looked uneasy and a bit disturbed by my presence. Instead of her immediately saying "Hi, may I help you?" as I had expected...she said "Hi, do you have an appointment?" I said no and she replied..."You need to schedule an appointment before viewing." I was totally flustered because I wasn't advised at the time I called. She didn't offer any assistance whatsoever, nor did she offer to schedule an appointment for a later date. She simply shoved a card in my hand and advised me to call next time. I kinda wanted to view the bridesmaid dresses that were on display, but because of her horrible attitude...I simply left. Sadly, I thought I was receiving bad service due to my race, but by reading other reviews...it seems as if they are simply RUDE! I would not go back! BELLA ROSA, remember that first impressions are lasting...put customers first always!
Great experience - perfect dress!. Can't complain about anything - from my first contact via e-mail through a phone call or two, through two appointments to select my dress, every contact with Bela Rosa has been just about ideal. All nice people, gorgious selection of dresses and very accomodating with my school schedule. If everything stays just as good through the alterations process, I may have to rate them "Perfect"!
