A nice welcoming to Va. !

Found these guys online before moving from NY. My Realtor gave them access to my house to do the work. While we traveled to Va. they stretched a couple of rooms, and replaced some padding / re-installed the carpet and fixed a few squeaks in a room where we had a wall torn out. After that they cleaned every area. Excellent job. Didn't have to have them back for touch -ups. So-far so good. I highly recommend.
Did not stand me up!!

I don't understand what the person's problem is who gave this company a 1 rating. After reading her review it is clear that this is a disgruntled person who just can’t be satisfied. I made a similar appointment with this company. They told me they would "TRY" to get me in after hours, but might not be able to make it depending on when they finish the previous job. I too was told that they could not make it after hours, and scheduled me for the following morning to stretch my carpet, they then scheduled me for today for my free cleaning. There are not many companies that will schedule Saturday appointments-let alone an appointment at 5pm. I received 2 free rooms of carpet cleaning and was given a 10 year warranty for the stretching, and lifetime on an iron burn they repaired. The repair was perfect and the rooms that where stretched look great. I suspect the critic was told the same as me, "They would try and make it". The fact that they then tried to set an appointment for her at multiple different times-at her convenience tells me that this complaint in invalid. The technicians from Carpet Doctors where courteous, professional, and very pleasant. My realtor referred me to them, after telling me she has worked with them for over 10 years. I am very happy with them and will refer them.
Very Unprofessional-Stood UP!

Phoned Carpet Doctor on a Friday morning. They didn't return the call until the following Monday even though their message states they will be paged. Should have been the first warning sign. But when they called me they talked me into using them and I scheduled for the next night (Tuesday at 5 PM). I had to take off of work early. Well I go home and remove all the items out of the room and then I get a call at 5PM (the scheduled appt. time)advising that they would need to reschedule due to it would be dark by the time they get to me and they wouldn't be able to make it. I found that to be very unprofessional. The owner had advised that he had been teaching a class and was leaving the downtown area and wouldn't get to me before dark and would need to reschedule which shouldn't play a factor given the fact that the work to be done was to stretch carpet on the inside of the home that is occupied and has electricity. It seemed to me to be an excuse and after telling him I took off of work to meet them and had removed all the items out of the room. He just said that he couldn't make it and needed to reschedule and that he would throw in a free carpet cleaning. I didn't call for carpet cleaning nor did I take off of work to be stood up last minute. If he knew he was teaching a class and couldn't make it he should have called prior to the scheduled time to meet. He continuely tried to give other available times...like the next morning or the next night or the day after that....I had already had to take off of work as it was to meet him that time...he seemed very inconsiderate to the fact that I had already missed time from work and removed the items from the room. I told him that I would just find someone else. The End. Good Luck if you decide to use this business.
