I stayed here recently as it was close to an event I had to attend and a friend of mine was a member. Staff is friendly, location is great and the amenities are amazing. I've stayed at many hotels but this one stands out as it's not JUST a hotel, it's a private club and a world class athletic fascility. I worked out during my stay, they had floors and floors of different athletic equipment and fascilities that caters to anyone's needs. They also have a free business center, bars and restaurants....so much more. I didn't get to see everything. The best part is everything is under one roof! This private club has a glamour the new places can't possibly recreate. It's history is rich and a staple in Los Angeles and you can feel it when you walk into the club. I loved it and I'm going to sign up to be a member!
Pros: Athletic fascilites and location.
Cons: n/a

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is giant. It must be the most comprehensive facility I have seen. They say it is a complete business, social and atheltic club and after being a member it makes sense to join a club like this. The relationships you make working out or drinking a martini at the bar can carry over into the business world and vise versus.
Pros: Comprehensive, Private
Cons: Upscale clientel, no boxing ring
