The Scene
Don't be turned off by the strip mall atmosphere: repeat customers keep the casual booths filled. Enthusiastic servers trot right to your table with fresh tortilla chips and dip (the traditional red salsa and a sweet ranch version). Order something from the special margarita menu and enjoy the canned theme music as you open one of the most extensive Mexican menus in town.
The Food
Imagine every possible combination plus some items that you don't see on every menu in town: huevos con chorizo (Mexican sausage with scrambled eggs, rice and beans); burritos kari (burritos filled with chicken, potato, carrots, green beans, corn and cheese) and veggie fajitas (potatoes, mushrooms, cactus, squash, onions, peppers and tomatoes). Vegetarians have their choice of seven dinners and the kids can order a Shirley Temple.

As I travel alot, this is a really good local Mexican restaurant, food is good and hot, service was very friendly. You can't beat the value with good food at a good price.

We used to go to the Don Jose's on Hull Street, but we now go to the new one on Route 10 in Chester. The food is better at this location, and we have never had a difficult time getting in. It is one of our favorites.
Pros: Great food, prepared quickly, and served hot!
Cons: Can get crowded at times
