The Scene
Acoustic music is the draw at the Skipjack on Friday and Saturday nights. The upstairs pub area of this comedy club features solo singer/songwriters or duos. Some of the more talented performers in the Richmond area can be found in this cozy spot. A sedate, sit-down crowd tends toward the older set. But not everyone everyone is listening to the music. Plan on hearing lots of crowd, and crowd-pleasing acoustic standards with the occasional sing-along. If you're looking for a quick change of pace, you can always pop downstairs to the comedy club for a few laughs.
