Magnificent martini experiences require two things: a great bartender and a great atmosphere. This bar has both.. The Scene
With its dark wood, etched glass partitions and view of The Jefferson's elegant lobby, sitting on a stool in TJ's suddenly makes you feel entirely cosmopolitan.



The Food and Drink
If there were ever a bar that should make a great martini, it's The Jefferson. Each drink is mixed with pure perfection and served up with a special twist if you request it--the bartenders aim to please. TJ's serves lunch and dinner in a more casual environment than Lemaire--yet the menu is elegant enough to let you know you're still at The Jefferson. Typical menu items: hummus or havarti cheese on sourdough bread; black bean burger on kaiser roll with chipotle salsa.

Some of Richmond's Best Dining. TJ's is LeMaire's little brother, in the same five-star hotel, the Jefferson, which alone is worth the visit. TJ's shares the same great quality ingredients, and to a lesser degree, the chefs. However, TJ's food is comparable, but at a more reasonable price. TJ's service and surroundings are top-notch. Celebrities visiting Richmond are frequently seen there, including Anthony Hopkins, Cher and H. Ross Perot. Best steak I've had in Richmond. Helpful, knowledgeable staff.
