Beautiful, Spacious, Clean Food. We just used an overnight package here recently with my husband for our Anniversary. There is nothing like walking through the large victorian foyeaur to know you are on your way to a very special dinner. I had Shrimp and Grits and Pork with Green Bean Casserole (I think). My husband enjoyed the Tilapia seared perfectly well. The wine selection was very nice and our rooms were very clean and spacious. This is a must try for couples looking for a night retreat.

Good food, poor service. Loved the food. Nice setting. Good wine list. However, service was poor: not attentive, not helpful about wine list, did not know how to pour the wine, slow. Service detracted from our experience materially.

Able to turn Southern cuisine into a culinary event, this landmark tempts, taunts and tantalizes.. The Scene
Housed in The Jefferson Hotel, LeMaire features seven formal dining rooms. Its ample natural light and elegant atmosphere will put you at ease despite the formality of the white-gloved service. LeMaire is an absolute must if you want to wine and dine the love of your life.

The Food
The menu always features regional favorites. Some notable dishes include the roasted pork tenderloin in a sweet mustard crust, served with Virginia ham, fresh sage and canellini beans. For the seafood lover, try the coriander and black pepper-crusted North Atlantic salmon in nicoise fennel broth with Osetra caviar.
