Editorial Review for Denny's – by J.P. Anderson

In Short
With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.

so i came into the Denny's on pacific and saw a sign that said Open Mic / Karaoki every other friday night. I thought thats weird Denny's doing those. then i found out they had a bar and thats just awesome. i whent in and a guy named Bobby was bartending and he is a verry funny guy. one of the managers Ryan was hosting the open Mic/Karaoki while the other was working I didnt meet him but his name i think was Mario. anyway i sat in and had a few beers sang a couple of songs and just had fun while i was talking to ryan he told me that he normaly gets a band to come in and play when no one shows up for the open mic part he introduced me to bob (guitar bob) and told me one of his bands would play every now and then (i think the band was called nooner but i might be wrong). he also said he didnt normally host but that his host was sick. Any way i had a lot of fun the employees are awesome bobbie the bartender got up and sang for us and it felt like a great place to just go and hang out. I am deffinately going to go every open mic night myself. oh yeah the open mics are on the 1st and 3rd fridays of every month.

Pros: Fun People, environment, and lots of parking

Cons: the parking lot was a little dirty and it was a little hard to find
