Chester >Les & Co Hair Design
I went to get my hair lightened a couple of weeks ago by Les, the owner, and left in tears. Les turned my hair orange because he overbooked himself on a Sunday and forgot about me in the corner while my hair overprocessed. I had to go to work the next day and fought tears the entire time because I was humiliated. I finally found Ahead of Hair in Midlothian and they corrected the God awful job Les did for me - unfortunately it took me over 3 hours to get it corrected. I am expecting and really was looking to treat myself to a cut and color but that turned into such an ordeal, I wish I would have trusted my instincts and stayed away from this crummy place. I believe in letting people know when you have an unpleasant experience - especially one that involved having your hair turned orange - so I've taken the time to write this review. Steer clear of this place if you can.
poor customer service. I was a customer of this salon for 18 years, until recently. I think the main problem with this salon is that they overbook their stylists to the point where you are kept waiting for a very long time for your appointment. The last straw for me was making an appointment for my usual stylist (to do a color), being kept waiting, and then instead of doing my hair, he handed me off to a new girl who wasn't busy. I wasn't asked if I minded, I was just told she was going to do my hair. I let her and she did an ok job (but not as good as usual). My problem with this was I wanted the person I made the appointment with, and felt like my business didn't matter to them. This was not the first incident, but it was the last. The prices are rather expensive, and if I'm going to pay that much then I want to be treated better. The owner seems to care more about his constant redecorating of the salon than satisfying his long time customers. The salon does look very nice.
