We will give Chesdin another try only because we go to the lake quite often in the summer and we used to love this restaurant. The problem with the food should have been caught in the kitchen and there did not seem to be enough wait staff . We sat too long waiting for our check. We were served baked potatoes that were not cooked which they resolved with 2 cooked potatoes but my husband's fried platter was over cooked and over breaded. We both think the quality of food for the money does not match. His comment was that he was full but not satisfied. I had the salmon and the flavor was good but on the verge of being overcooked as well. It used to be much better so we know how good it could be. We hope it will get there again.
Pros: Beautiful view, great potential
Cons: High prices for mediocre food, poor service

Great local restaurant. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. The food was very good. I wouldn't call it 5 star, but for local cuisine, we thought it was excellent and the price wasn't unreasonable. We had: She Crab soup - was very good, a little too much Old Bay Crab Dip appetizer - came in a bread bowl, very good Broiled shrimp - a little overdone, but still good Crab Cakes - excellent, very little filler. Key lime pie - great Overall, we loved it, we would definitely go again. Compared to almost any good restaurant in NY, it would be mediocre, be we aren't in NY. For local eats, I'd say very good.
Pros: good food, good view
Cons: ambience and service could be better
