Richmond >Food & Dining > India K' Raja Restaurant
Rightfully Richmond's Best Indian Restaurant. I had the Best Indian meal here after long time of trying it everywhere else I have been. The place was cozy and warm with my waitress being so attentive and friendly. Punjabi saag reminded me of the back home taste and the Makki di roti was perfect, crispy and well done. I will be back to this restaurant every time I visit Richmond.
Outstanding Food - I am a fan already. I am from India and recently moved to Richmond from Philadelphia. I am very discriminating when it comes to Indian restaurants and this place made me a fan instantly. The chicken curry reminded of the same taste I used to enjoy in Delhi and the tandoori parath was to die for. I have already been to this place three times since I moved last week and I don't think I will ever get tired of it. I noticed that they have been here for 15 years. Wow!
Wonderful experience!. We had a great time and enjoyed every bite. Their Monday night dinner was very good. The huge variety on the buffet was fresh and very tasty. They even had exta hot sauce for people like me who like it spicy. Our waitress was very very polite and sweet. she kept my Taj Mahal beer coming with MMMmmm delicious food.
Awesome place, Delicious Food and Excellent service. Had the best time here with my family. It was a busy Frinday night but the servers were hussling and keeping everyone around us also happy. I kept over hearing hmmm and mmmm from the people sitting around us. Delicious food and excellent service.
I've been to this restaurant on multiple occasions. Every time I've been there, the food has been great. The staff is always smiling and ready to bend over backwards to ensure my satisfaction. A couple of weeks ago, one of the waiters gave my daughter a balloon to pacify her as she was getting tired and a little unruly - such a great help!
I highly recommend India K Raja. I am Indian. Straight from India. The most Indian part of India. This food is better than food at home. And by home, I mean India.
India K Raja Worst of the Worst Award.
Been here 3 times and each time was worse than the previous experience. Undoubtedly the worst food you can expect.
Dear India K Raja owner, instead of spending money on advertising on radio, tv etc, could you please invest some extra cash and hire a better cook? That could do some good to your otherwise stale buffet.
This place is a joke. This is as far away from authentic indian food as it can get. Keep away and go get a big bucket of KFC if you really wanna have some good food.
Food is cold and bad. I and my wife went there....the food is really bad, and served cold. The rice is not boiled properly.
WORST PLACE TO EAT WITH KIDS.
I went to eat there with my kids aged 4 and 3 and they would not let my kids eat off my plate. I quote what the waitress told me, " ma'm if you did not pay for your kids then they cannot eat from the buffet" . Common sense will tell you that kids under 5 will not eat a whole buffet.
I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I am Indian and have been to almost all the Indian restaurants in Richmond and never had I any problem anywhere. The food is not that great, there are better places worth the money you spend, and I had to keep on asking them to bring me "naan". Limited amount of meat products. It was more a veg than a non-veg buffet. For people who like to eat meat this is a bad choice.
Undoubtedly Richmond's Best. I don't know how some other reviewers are writing negative comment on this restaurant and why. Is it vengeance or another Indian restaurant's agent? I have frequented this place over many years and not even once had any chance to complain about anything. I have also visited other recently opened Indian restaurants in town. Almost all of them try to duplicate what Indian K'Raja does, but they fall way short on food quality, taste and the service. I hav travelled to India on several occasions and I find the India K'Raja food quality and taste challenges the Five Star hotels in India. Undoubtedly the Best Indian Restaurant in Richmind.
Food is very very low quality. Avoid. I am an Indian and fond of trying all the indian restaurants when i am staying at any place. I ordered some paneer tikka masala from this place which was one the absolute worst ever since i have landed in the usa. IMO this restaurant should not even pass as an authentic indian food. Miles away from it. Avoid unless you are dying.
