Not what it was used to be. I have been going to this location for the last 10 years and eat at least once a week or more. The quality, especially the 'sauce' itself has been getting worse and worse. I ordered the same item from the Chief's special about 3 weeks ago and again past week, not just taste was different but the color of the sauce was different than the 3 weeks ago. I ended up eating only 1/2 my order and throw away the rest of them.

An old reliable standard in Chinese restaurants in Richmond..
The Scene
Whether you're at the Grove location on the Avenues, the Shockoe Slip restaurant, or any other location around town, you'll find the same great food you've come to love over the years. The upscale decor is a nice change from some of the other Chinese places around town; Peking's owners know that you don't have to sacrifice style in the name of substance.
The Food
Peking duck, pu pu platters and a mean hot and sour soup are always popular choices at Peking. If you have a vegetarian in your dinner party, there are several tofu-based dishes that will satisfy their hunger.
