Inability to honor prior commitment. I have been devistated by the unprofessional manner of this establishment. I reserved with this restaurant back in October of 2010 for their bauquet room for my daughters rehearsal dinner which is scheduled for March 11, 2011. 6 weeks away. I delivered my menu and copy of custom printed rehersal inviatations on 1-23-2011 and was told great, all looks good. Then Tuesday 1-25 in the evening, two days later I received a call that they had made a mistake and the room would not be available. Don't ever rely on this establishment to honor your request. They have now caused me financial hardship and extra expense not to mention the emotional distreess of this unacceptable, unprofessional and pathetic way they run their business.

Comfort after Chaos. I had driving clear across the country from Seattle for a job, and it was chaotic, my apt fell through, car was acting up, and i wa having to pay to stay in a hotel. Needless to say I was stressing out. Low on gas I decided to attempt to find a a gas station and something to eat. I drove past the Westland shopping center and seen the sign for Nicks. So not feeling up for fast food I decided to give it a try, besides it wa getting late and I didn't want to get lost trying to find my hotel again. I walked and was immediately greeted with a friendly smile, and when I told i was just me she didn't make me feel uncomfortable like the average place would. Then I ordered the tumare and a glass of wine. Before it came out she brought me bread rolls that were amazing taste wise, soft, and warm right out of the oven. The salad with the house dressing was nice and fresh. The entree was amazing perfect amount of sauce, every ingredient fused together perfectly, truelly mouth watering. The waitress was very attentive. I go to Nicks once a month and try something new each time and still have yet to find anything sub par. I have brought all of my friends to Nicks and all have fell in love with cuisine. Thank you for your service Nicks.

Easy simple baked spaghetti got us sick!. I rarely will order a baked spaghetti when going out to an Italian restaurant. Growing up in the restaurant business, I'm a little biased to baked spaghetti. This time it was something I just thought I would try. It was also getting late and didn't want to bother cooking. How bad can it be, especially when we've gone here before and the food was half decent?? Well, it was pretty bad. I should have taken warning and canceled my to-go order after reading the latest review that someone got sick. My DH and I both ordered the Spaghetti alla Nikko. I ordered mine with light sauce, which barely had any sauce on it (I said light, not avoid it all together). I might as well have said, just to reduce the amount of spaghetti in mine b/c that's what I got compared to my DH serving. Overall, it wasn't too bad tasting, IMHO, but DH did not like it at all. Later that night, we were both very sick. Stomach cramps, heart burn, and others symptoms that I don't want to mention here. Was it the meatballs, the sausage? sour tomato sauce? bad cheese? who knows, but we will not go there again to take another chance. THANK Goodness my kids didn't eat any of it and they just had some pizza from another establishment earlier in the evening. It was even over priced. Two baked spaghetti w/ MB, sausage, and pepperoni cost us over $27.00.

Ordinary, run-of-the-mill. Had heard about this place but had never been so we decided to try it. Some impressions:

1) Waitress was VERY sweet and attentive.

2) While I realize that I consume more Diet Coke than the average person, there's no reason to charge me for that second refill, considering the glasses MAYBE hold 8 ounces when filled with ice. It's more of an annoyance than a real issue, but that extra $1.50 really chapped my as*.

3) Food was actually quite good. Had the Chicken Parmigiana. Spaghetti was tasty, served in a *slightly* spicy marinara and the chicken was tender and moist.

4) GREATLY appreciated the fact that I was able to swap out my salad for a small cup of Minestrone....which, by the way, had absolutely NO flavor whatsoever. I felt like I was getting all of my vegetables for the day (there were plenty of them) but it literally tasted like veggies in a little bit of weak chicken broth

5) Prices were moderate for what amounted to an average restaurant experience. I guess you get what you pay for....

One of the worst dining experiences I've had. It's tough to sum everything wrong with this place up in 2000 characters or less but I'll try.

I would start by saying that if you're the type of person who drinks alot of whatever you're drinking whether it's water, soda, iced tea, etc. you'll be less than happy about the micro sized cups that constantly need to be refilled because they're honestly alot more appropriate for a Shoney's or other all you can eat place with a help yourself soda fountain.

I asked our waitress if I could have my salad with just lettuce and tomato and onion and she informed me that the "chefs" don't let the servers touch the salads and so "special orders" like that weren't possible. What she meant to say was they serve bagged salad mix and in order to have a lettuce, onion, and tomato only salad would mean someone having to pick out shredded carrot, etc.

The three people in my party sampled three different dishes and two appetizers. The dolmades, mozz. sticks, ravioli, lasagna, and a chicken dish. The pasta dishes would not have left Chef Boyardee's kitchen. The cheese sticks weren't bad, but the dolmades, ravioli, and lasagna's "meat" was on par with dog food. I ended up getting sick later that night and went down the road to a different Greek/Italian restaurant which always delivers, but I won't name names.

This may sound over the top, but I literally left feeling like someone had robbed me. It isn't that they over promise and underdeliver or tell you they have the world's best Greek food, but it's poor none the less. It had been ten years since I was last there and it will be at least ten before I ever go back. Totally sub par place and for prices similar to the Olive Garden and other chain restaurants with average food, I would have rather gone to the average chain. There are much much better Greek places in town, and one is right down Parham from Nick's on Quioccasin.

I'll never go back, and will just say there are much better restaurants to spend your money at.

Rip off on additional rolls. Great Restaurant at a good price but whats with charging for additional bread at $.75 per roll--thats a rip off. If the cost of flour, etc is so high, then increase the menu cost--don't surprise the clientel. I've never been charged extra at a restaurant for asking for additional bread. I doubt if I'll be back. Adious.

Good Service Big Lasagna. The nine or ten times I've been to Nick's (lunch and dinner) I found the servers attentive, the users appreciative and the food good, hot and filling. The lasagna is freshly made, large enough for two. I wish they'd use something besides iceberg lettuce in the salad, though. Be careful not fill up on their hot, freshly baked buttery rolls before your meal, or you'll be asking for a doggy bag for tomorrows lunch. The dining area is separated into different size groupings and there's a nice platform sheltered by a gazebo which is conducive to a small group. Window seats offer a nice view of cars in the recently renovated parking lot.
