Editorial Review for Breakers – by Patrick Rooney

The Scene
Yes, that's correct ... 32 televisions. These are for true sports nuts, but if you're not, don't worry. Breakers hosts live rock and folk most nights Tuesday through Sunday (for a measly two bucks). So the sports fan can watch one of the thousands of sporting events and you can socialize at a real-live nightclub. Not bad. Wanna shoot some pool? How about a quick game of darts? Or obtain a stack of quarters and let the arcade-fun begin.

The Draw
Everything from pub-grub to real-deal meals, Breakers wants to be a restaurant too. Still, the main reason people come here is the entertainment. Those looking for fun usually find it. Who's going: A jumping singles scene keeps the Breaker's crowd fresh and sometimes younger than you may think for a sports bar. The overflow, aftershow crowd from Innsbrook brings in a healthy mix of people as well.

Last of the hole in wall bars... a dying breed Im afraid. Yes you might have to have some backup at times but if you like the idea of hanging out without the usual 21 year olds this is like a Cheers for the working man and its not red neck .. well not all the time.. warning professional drinkers only...and dont even ask for a Martini... it just upsets the Lady Bartenders.. I think I have seen norm there.... definately not Frazier. It is what it is... and 4 buck pitchers on some nights makes up for all the 5 dollar glasses at some other fancy smancy places. It actually has people on sundays in the afternoon. Oh now I remember... gin mill... a lost tradition in todays sports bars. No plasma tvs... and loud Juke box... kool! And the wings aint bad either.

Pros: Cheap but friendly .. good happy hour and happy nights!

Cons: You wont find your soul mate...

Bring your game face, because you'll be playing some sort of game, if you're not watching the 32 televisions.  See the full editorial review.
