I don't usually leave reviews -- this is the first one I've left in a long time. But House of Vietnam is such a great little place, I just had to pipe in. House of Vietnam is truly a hidden gem. We eat there regularly, and have never had a bad meal. The food is consistently great, and the service is consistently great as well. Owner Paul Tran genuinely cares about his restaurant and his customers, and it shows. The atmosphere is low-key and casual, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly. There is a reason why so many of the people who eat there are repeat customers.
Pros: great food; friendly service; easy parking
Cons: They do carry out, but not delivery

If you want super friendly annoying service, "cool" atmosphere and just blah food, go here. If you want real Vietnamese food that is really really good food, go to Pho next to Full Kee. Pho is so much better. Unfortunately a lot of Americans just like super friendly service and atmosphere rather than good food. Most wouldn't even know what good Vietnamese food is. Even Vietnam1 is better than this place, but Pho is the best. Trust me, driving to Pho is worth it. House of Vietnam near the Short Pump mall is junk. Annoying waitresses and annoying owner at front door.
