GREAT FOOD, CHIC PLACE. When you dine at Patina, you are dazzled by its chic, edgy interior and its creative menu. Service and cuisine are excellent and the setting is relaxing and intimate. Always enjoyable!

Great west end restaurant. My husband and I have been going to Patina for a few years, and there has never been a moment were we would doubt the service or the quality of the food. It is a great place to go for apps and drinks at the bar, and an ever better place to go for dinner and dessert at a table. The decor is hip yet romantic, and the service is outstanding and efficient. When it comes to the food the ceasar salad is perfect, and the gumbo outstanding. We highly recommend Patina to any one looking for a great place to relax and enjoy great food and drinks.

Too expensive. Entre's not the best.. Everything was excellent, except the entre prices. I don't mind paying $30 for an entre, but it needs to be good at least. The entres were a total let down. Everything before them was absolutely amazing. Even some parts of the entre were good, but it just wasn't spectacular.

Respectfully disagree. I was reading through the reviews earlier and felt compelled to respond to the upset diner. My husband and I live in the Fan District in Richmond, but regularly make the trek out to the Far West End to eat at Patina Grill. We have been going there for some time and have never had a bad experience. This is why I think his time there must have been a fluke. We love to go for appetizers and martinis if we're going to the movies (I recommend the scallop appetizer and the mango cosmo) or for a full dinner date (when we can get a babysitter). Last time I had the lamb and it was fantastic (came w/ vanilla risotto and the best sauce!). I hope that he will go back and give it another shot.

User review by swimmoo. I recently ate at Patina for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. Even though they were extremely busy (a Saturday night) the host made us feel special and offered the 6 of us "the big ass booth." The waiter was knowledgeable and suggested 2 awesome wines to complement our dinners. I had the best and most unusually presented caesar salad I've ever had, followed by pecan dusted rabbit that was done perfectly over pasta. I also tasted a friends smoke shrimp and scallop dinner that was terrific as well. All of the desserts sounded great but the winner was a chocolate martini. The restaurant was beautiful with lots of copper and marble, but hard to describe. -casual elegant- Patina was much nicer than what I expected from a strip mall. Patina grillis definitely a great place for dinner or drinks on date night.

Fusion food dressed to impress in an Asian-inspired setting.. The Scene
A showpiece of contrasts. Natural decor exudes elegance: sisal, walnut, distressed copper and crinkled Asian fabrics mingle with muted colors. Diners visibly light up when plates are presented, delighted with the colorful vegetable combinations, swirls of sauce and sprays of herbs. Hip, high-level service completes the experience and makes reservations a must.

The Food
Brazil nut-crusted sea bass, smoked chicken gnocci, Tandoori rack of lamb, Szechwan tea smoked duck and grilled portobello wellington are some of the eclectic entrees. Salads, appetizers and sides are perfect compliments. And could you pass up blood orange charlotte, chocolate tiramisu or sticky toffee cake for dessert?
