a little dissapointed ): but service and hummus was good!

My mom and I went here for lunch one day expecting good prices and lots of home made food. My father owns a little diner so we love going to places like his! The lunch and appetizer prices were decent but the entree prices looked a little high.. the dolmades had barely and flavor and only vegetarian. The place on the other hand was very warm & inviting and the staff was really friendly! I really wish they had more creamy white sauces instead of everything with marinara or tomato based sauces.

• Cons: gyro lamb seemed mixed & from package & dolmades very bland

The only place in Richmond I can recommend fearlessly

I've been doing to Trak's for ten years and have gotten most everything on the menu, been there on every day of the week, had every server they've ever employed, and I can honestly say this is the only restaurant in Richmond I can recommend to someone and feel 100% confident that the food they have will be excellent. They've gotten multiple zero violations health inspections and two of the clean kitchen awards from NBC12's Restaurant Report. Noone would say they decor isn't eccentric, but it's nowhere near Mama Zu's, so it's tough to complain. You won't find a more friendly owner in the world than the owners at Trak's. You never have to ask for a refill, or more bread, the wait staff brings it before you realize you need it. Portions are huge and are more than enough to split over multiple meals, particularly the pasta dishes. All in all, it's my favorite place in town to eat, and I don't have a complaint in the world. It may not end up being YOUR favorite restaurant in Richmond, but it won't disappoint you, and you won't leave there wishing you'd gone somewhere else. Freshness, quality, service...It's everything you want in a family owned restaurant.

Mouth Watering Rolls & Fantastic Pasta

Trak's is a smaller restaurant with a busy, and family-friendly atmosphere. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and seated by personable staff. Our orders for drinks were taken immediately, and we requested bread upfront. Their rolls were absolutely wonderful! The garlic spread that was lightly used atop of the bread made them very difficult to stop eating. We ordered the lunch spaghetti, and paid a dollar and change more for it to be baked with cheese. The wait was within reason, and the decor helped to give us plenty to talk about. The portions that came out were tremendous - the average person would need a doggie bag, which they're more than happy to accomodate. The price of the meal per person was under $10 before tip, and we would definitely return.

Side notes: Trak's is older, and smaller. With the heavy decor it may come off as cluttered or dirty, but the floor, tables, all plates, silverware and glasses were clean!

• Cons: Older restaurant, and some may view the decor as cluttered.
