Located on the north side of Richmond, this is one golf course that will not suck your wallet dry.. The Scene
Public course but the site of the old Hermitage Country Club. Course is in excellent shape due to renovations of its World War I vintage. Rolling hills and a creek make for surprising play. Special rates for Henrico County residents, seniors and juniors. Most holes are par-4. Fall is a great to time to play this course to avoid the crowds found in summer because of the low rates. Reservations are required so call a week in advance, especially a Monday morning for the weekend. Signature hole: Number 5 hole. Plays very long with a 90-degree dog-leg. Overall a very demanding par-4.
