Richmond >Winn Transportation
Winn, our 1st choice in transportation. I have worked with Mark and Winn Transportation on several top Fortune 500 company events around the country. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to transportation of important people. Mark’s planning, logistics and supervision of this piece of the events were always flawless! Great people and a great company to work with. I highly Recommend Winn!
What a great company!.
What a great company. Its funny, when people have bad experiences they always moan and complain. The fact that I am taking time out of my day to even write about how amazing this company is should be enough!
From the first call, very easy to deal with, NO BS! No hidden fees, NADA! I filled out a quote request online and BAM! it was back in my inbox within the hour. I was told the rate for all of their vehicles, not just one, and that it included EVERYTHING, tax, tolls, fuel, no hidden surcharges.
You've got to read this!. I read the two reviews above and I do see where the first person retracted their poor rating because they had filed the rating for the wrong company, but I saw the second rating and I have to think that this can't be right. We have used the folks at Winn for all three of our daughter's weddings and we have always been well taken care of. Our daughters have loved having the trolleys and they have "made" these special events for them, so much more special. The trolley drivers have always been so nice and we recommendt them to anyone who asks. I do think the secret (if there is one)is in the planning. So my guess is that the bride above probably poorly planned the transportation portion of the wedding. I also got onto several "wedding boards" and could not find anything derrogatory about the trolleys or Winn. Which begs the question why this lady would read bad reviews and still contract with the vendor (smells a bit fishy to me). My advice is do your homework, meet with your vendors, keep it simple and plan for the unexpected, you'll be fine. But as far as Winn Trolleys goes, they will ALWAYS have my business, but it will be grand kids from here on out, we were done a long time ago.
HORRID service. DONT recommend!. They are not reliable nor dependable. If you go on any wedding board you will see that many brides and people who use their services were disappointed. They not only sent a bus instead of the trolley to my wedding (AFTER i called and confirmed three days prior) but they tried to take me to wrong reception making me miss HALF my wedding. They were rude and unhelpful over the phone when we called to complain and STILL havnt sent my partial refund and it has been over a month since we spoke. They wait months to deposit your money and are not in the least concerned with customer service. I HIGHLY do not recommend Winn Transportation
We welcome opportunities to make our service better, but Tabitha?s complaint is based on an actual event that is exaggerated for effect. Our driver took the wrong vehicle, but got there very early and showed back up only 15 mins after the contracted time. The reception was 20 miles away on a vehicle that does 30mph avg, and took 45 minutes, which we cautioned her about. We did not charge her credit card until close to the date as a courtesy and we issued a 33% refund as a result of being late.
Do NOT use this company-HORRIBLE CUS/SERVICE. We used this company a few weeks ago for our wedding. We paid amost $1400 so our guests would have a convenient and relaxing ride to our ceremony and reception site. This was not the case. It was 80 degrees outside the day of our wedding and when our guests got into one of the shuttles it was just as hot inside. As more guests got on, the more uncomfortable the shuttle became. When they asked the driver about it he said the air wouldn't come on until the shuttle started. The air never came on at all and our guests showed up to the wedding sweaty and uncomfortable. In one guests words the trip was "brutal". When we brought this to the owner of the company's attention he told us the A/C was working and that it was 78 degrees and "that wasn't that bad-it was just the peoples perception that it was hot". I don't even keep the heat on in my house at 78 degrees. We were basically told to get over it and that 78 degrees isn't hot, and that out guests imagined it. We were given a $100 credit. Thanks, but not thanks! I work in customer service and was disgusted that this is the way that they treat their customers. I understand that the A/C not working properly is out of thier control, but how they handle these sort of issues is entirely in their control and they could care less about thier customers.
This fabricated complaint only serves to cause us undue harm. The charter was sub-contracted to us and we never spoke to the bride, only the contractor. When we were told the A/C was not adequate and the bride would like a $100 credit, we NEVER questioned it. We only asked that they pass along our apologies to Ms. Schmidt-McLaughlin and to her mother Carol and issued an immediate credit. Perhaps a call directly to us could have prevented this misrepresentation and added to our many happy clients
