I saw Sharon and she did my highlights. She worked quickly and efficiently. I did not get an exact match to the highlights I already had, so ta da, I have a distinct rootline! I think Sharon is a better than average colorist. The shop was crowded and there was no place to lock up my handbag, or put my top.
Pros: Better than average colorist
Cons: No place to safely lock up my things, and I left missing cash!

I've been going to Beyond the Fringe (Deborah) for about 8 years now. When I moved to Richmond, I needed a stylist who knew how to style my stick straight fine hair and who would listen to my needs (busy mom, no time) and wants (easy to style, quick, layered). I was tired of haircuts that were choppy, uneven and took hours of styling and products to look good. Deborah (and all the staff there) will listen to what you want and ask specific questions to make sure you get what you want. They're busy--because they're good and they're popular---but always able to get clients in in a reasonable time frame (within a few weeks, if you're flexible). The hairstylists all are highly trained and keep up to date on training, attending conferences and seminars, and are always coming back with new trends and techniques for hair.
Pros: Great service, perfect & flattering haircuts
Cons: Hard to find location, expensive (because they're really, really good)
