PLACE IS CLOSED!!!!. There is another bar there in its place. I believe it is called City Lights. Mostly UofR students hang out there. Note.. I would not have given the 1 rating but had to.. lol!
User review by moniquejf. This is a smoky dive. We went for lunch and the odor of stale cigarette smoke was overpowering. There were only two other tables occupied and it still took 45 minutes to get two hamburgers. The food was mediocre at best. I would not reccomend this as a dining choice.…
John Small's act of British sing-alongs and comic diddies will have you hoarse by the end of the night..
The Scene
Grab a bunch of friends, claim a seat at one of the long wooden tables, order up a few beers and you'll be singing before the night is over. Guaranteed. Lines start early in the
evening.
The Act
The main attraction is John Small (father of Pat McGee band bass player, John Small Jr.) and his solo acoustic guitar sing-along party. He's made his living, and a name for Potter's, by playing every Tuesday through Saturday night from 10pm to 1:30am.
Beat the Crowd
Go for dinner at around 8pm so you have a table when the show starts; they go fast. The bouncer doesn't make exceptions.
The Crowd
Young and old mingle in this tavern. Most know the words to the songs and the chummy atmosphere remains collegial and insider-ish. If you take a birthday party, odds are the honoree will end up on stage singing.…
ELVIS LIVES. What a great time we had last night. Potter's was having a special Elvis birthday bash and we rocked all night to Elvis. This was my first time in Potter's Pub & Grille, I was really impressed with the quality of food and attentive waitstaff, not to mention all the great imported draft beers! Highly recommend you check it out, you won't be disappointed.…
